I just read that 25% of money powered by charities in Africa don't support birth control. We are just all high and mighty is the answer. We want to solve problems with idealism instead of action.

Different cultures, different societies, and different bliefs about where baby's come from.
There is a lot of information about how to not make babies but most methods of birth control take money. With humanitarian aid also goes condoms.
Abstinance only education isn't going to help when it is married people who end up having lots of children, it also isn't going to stop a child of rape, so the aid that they get also needs to be able to deal with birth control, and education.

How do you talk to someone who doesn't want to listen. Common sense tells you if you can't take care of your babies to stop having them. Only idiots and ignorant people would go on propagating when they have no means of support. Oh, and by the way, its not just poor countries, we do it here in the US as well. Too many people have babies when they have no visible means of support. When you can figure out a way to preach that message here at home, then you can go and preach to those who never asked.

I have never understood that either. Sometimes you see people that are so weak they cannot move but they are producing babies like an M&M factory.....someone is able to move. Instead of $5 million why don't we send $4 million and a $1 million worth of condoms????

Because if you had nothing to look forward to in life than love and a sexual partner, you'd be having a ton of sex too. It's what keeps them going in desperate times- it's quite a way to keep cheerful.

However, we should help them with contraception methods- condoms are so cheap to make, we should ship them over. And also, birth control pills and shots- those are cheap as well.

Because they believe using contraception is a way of saying they are whore-like. Sort of like the repubes in this country who trying to ban abortion or stem cell research.

Here's an idea, teaching them to farm and plant crops to sustain themselves, instead of giving them loans and free food. Knowledge is power my friend.

"maximum undesirable international locations are undesirable because of the fact they have a dictator and currupt government." what's your data for that? it quite is genuine that we many times have given money to regimes led by using corrupt dicatators, because of the fact, whaddaya comprehend, by using giving them money you may desire to purchase them off and that they became our allies against the Soviets or unions or peasants, or regardless of. If we actually tried shall we supply help greater intelligently, yet on account that maximum help is politically pushed, it form of feels exceptionally not likely.
