Absolutely not. In fact, much of the traditional doctrine is seriously flawed. If you want to know what God is trying to tell you in the scriptures, you are going to have to do 3 things:

1st, you have to truly want to know, with all your heart.
2nd, you have to pray for God to open your mind to the truth.
3rd, you have to study, study, study. Nothing of any value is free.

Well, air might be an exception, but for the most part, if it is important, you're going to have to work for it. You won't get at the heart of scripture if you don't dig it out for yourself. Reverend Roy and Pastor Pete haven't dug it out... they just learned what the instructors in their Bible College told them.

Get yourself a Strong's Concordance and find out what those words were originally in the early texts. Meanings in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek are often different from what we interpret in English. And approach the scriptures with a fresh mind, trying to keep separate from the paradigms you have picked up along the way (years of polishing pews with your bottom).

The truth is there. All you have to do is want it, ask for it, and work for it.

Best of luck on your quest.

Church is a small way to get answers and if you depend on church to grow you it wont happen. Our quiet time praying and reading the word is where we get our answers and the more we study the more we know already once the questions appear. Church is for worshipping, fellowshipping, helping, and a good charge to start the week.

Yes, but I dont get all the answers on Sunday. I get alot of them on the 2 other evenings per week when I'm there, and on the 3rd evening when I am in the couples Bible study I attend.
You probably wont get all your questions answered if you just go on sunday morning.

without me asking (which I havent) no, but I do get 'em all from the Bible...depends on what is the question though, like what shoe would go with an outfit, or stuff like that, then I ask a friend or someone, not church or the bible.

Church isnt to find answers, its to be with other believers. The bible has answers, one just needs to read it.

Sin keeps you away from the bible

Yes, I do.
I am taught the correct answers to all of life's questions. My responsibility thereafter, though, is to follow through with following the answers.

Well I get answers but I don't always like them! But even though I don't like them I do believe them as long as there is solid biblical references.

I wouldn't trust anybody that was always telling me what I wanted to hear!
