There's this woman in my town who drives a humongous pickup with vinyl signage in the rear window which reads "He thinks his is big... mine is BIGGER." Does anyone else think it's rather sad that this girl spends so much money to publickly compare herself to men?

I am 20 yrd old guy. My g/f wants me to join in on this charity event. It is fund raising for cancer. Some one donates some money to have guys get dressed up like girls and girls get dressed like guys for this one segment of the fund raiser. My g/f is participating and she wants me to also. The thing is she said that they take their time dressing you up. The ppl in charge dress you up and make you look good, make up, nails, heels, dress, and even shave your legs. The more someone pays the more you get dressed up. Should I put my self up for this? I am not sure if I want to but I want to help a good cause too. Should I do this with my g/f? Why? And what should i expect, appearently about $50 gets you completely crossdressed?

I mean, the truth was pretty amazing, who knew our sun was only one of billions of stars, and it really blew our mind when we found out ours was only one of millions/billions? of other galaxies! We didn't find out about how not alone we were in the universe until 70 years ago--we are so teeny tiny but are part of something so huge--one of billions and billions of stars and planets-- perhaps even other universes--how could anything earthly even answer a question like that when we now know what the real truth is?
Don't you think religion should work with science and try to find philosophy of what happened before the big bang why everything in the universe evolves instead of trying in vain to fight it?

I know it's very generalized to just say Christians. Maybe more specifically I should say evangelical or fundamentalist Christians.

I would like to hear opinions on this. Would you be happy if creationism completely supplanted evolutionism in public schools? If prayer in schools was mandatory? If all our elected officials had to consult with a pastor or priest before enacting legislation? If all judges had to have a degree in theology? Maybe even if everyone was forced to go to church a certain number of times a month?

For example, they chose exactly four Gospels from among the over 40 that were in use within the early Christian movement as God inspired, inerrant and infallible. They rejected the rest.

So God didn't inspire 40 people to write things, only 4, and this was decided by man.

What was in those other 36 I wonder.

Our phone number is ex-directory and yet we still get hassled daily by salesmen/women ringing up trying to sell us things. It seems that being polite to them just doesn't work as they wont take no for an answer. I am fed up of just hanging up on them, and now just feel like telling them where to go. Any ideas for something to say to them to make them actually get the message??

I have a friend of mine from Australia who's visiting her Auntie. For some reason, she doesn't mind being called a "*****". However, she doesn't want to be called a "Sheila". Can anyone help me understand why?

Thanks in advance. Hopefully your answers will be better than the 3 I got when I posted this on the USA Yahoo answers.

Hi! "USA" ans

Truly, was there a remarkable change after prayers were cancelled at schools in America?

Is it true that crime has increased in schools since morning prayers were cancelled out of schools in America?

Is true also that occultic practices like Satanism has increased in most American schools since morning prayer was cancelled at scools?

Is it true that most pupils do not have good manners at schools since prayers were taken out of schools?

When you answer please mention your stand "Christian" or "Atheist" or "Agnostic".

Please just give your honest opinion or realisation.
Please don't be rude or sacarstic.

Thanks!Hug!

Isaiah was a prophet, Ezra was a priest, Matthew was a tax-collector, John was a fisherman, Paul was a tentmaker, Moses was a shepherd.

Okay a prophet is synonymous with predicting and seeing the future, so basiaclly that's a psychic hotline person.

A priest spends all day long praying to imaginary people.

A tax-collector will say anything as long as he gets your money.

A fisherman? I have a hard time believing they were the most educated person back then.

A tentmaker? See above.

And a shepherd. Unless the shepherd is teaching me how to move sheep around, I don't think I'd trust his knowledge on any other subject.
