Because I'm an Irish Catholic.

I celebrate by going to Mass and then I start drinking the green beer!

I eat corned beef and cabbage and light a candle to Our Blessed Mother in the name of good 'ole St. Paddy.

And then I pray the rosary asking Our Blessed Mother for peace in Ireland.

Wear green. Pinch people who aren't wearing green.Talk about Irish stuff. Practice our lousy Irish accents. Play like leprechauns. Cook a corn beef brisket, preferably the kind with peppercorns that falls apart. Add cabbage, potatoes, onions and carrots to it when it's done. Very delicious. If there are leftovers you can mix them all together like hash or cassarole. I love St. Pat's. Don't forget it's about driving the snakes out of Ireland or something.

Well if you live in BELFAST, in NORTHERN IRELAND, you're not allowed to be IRISH on st. Patricks day, you're not allowed to wear green, or carry an Irish flag, incase it upsets the PROTESTANTS. Although they are allowed to have their 12th JULY and burn bonfires with the letters KAT (kill all taigs) (taigs = Catholics) and burn our FLAG and POSTERS OF OUR HUNGER-STRIKERS! And have the name of a 15 year old boy that was killed 2 months ago just for being Catholic at the top of their bonfire! DISGRACE!

Some years I have a party at my house. It's fun to decorate with shamrocks, ask people to wear something green and play real celtic music. You can have a trivia quiz with prizes. Ask questions about Ireland.

St Patty was this azz that killed off the Druids in Irland they had snakes tattoed on their arms. that is why they say Patty got rid of all the snakes. No evidence of snakes by the way. St Patrick was an evil person and is roasting in hell.

Wear green, eat corned beef and cabbage, and remember my Irish ancestors who came to Canada, then the USA, for the good farming land and freedoms they couldn't enjoy in their homeland.
