I did some work for my partner. Can I use my partner as a job reference?

I just read this happening in Kirkland (South County Journal). When people are possessed, they usually don't recall what happened when they are in the demonic spell. Though I think any murderer has to be pretty demonic.

My questions are: Who do you think is guilty of the slaughters? The drunkard (cuz He chose to drink to oblivian) or Satan (cuz He tempted & possessed)? Or are they both guilty. And when is someone actually insane to be considered not guilty?

Hear me out: NBC frequently runs those "To catch a predator" things where they ensnare men chatting on the internet with minors. Then on the Today show they run a touchy-feely piece about Mary Kay Letourneu and her child bride who's now of age. How are these two any different? I think MKL is worse b/c she was his teacher and she got knocked up by the kid twice !

although John 10:30 claims that he said "I and my father are one". The claim that Jesus was God was first made after the death of Jesus and his twelve disciples.

Finally, note that the possibility that he was a "lunatic" is not easily discountable. Even today in the western world there are numerous people who have managed to convince hundreds or thousands of followers that they are the Lord or his One True Prophet. People like L. Ron Hubbard, Sun Myung Moon, Jim Jones and David Koresh continue to peddle their divinity. In more superstitious countries, there are literally hundreds of present-day messiahs.

Revelation 16:12 is in place now! That river is about to be dried up. Turkey has built a dam to house all the water. When all the water is damned up, Rev. 9:15-16 begins, that's where China crosses the dry river bed with 200 million soldiers to invade Israel & others connected with her, China as of 2001 has 200,866,946 men of military age. Rev. 13 is coming true, slowly. A national ID card in many countries will be needed, including America (signed into law on May, 2005 by Bush). In America, you will be monitored and controlled by or government. Everyone has to have one by May, 2008 (Canada, US, & Mexico have banned together on this). If you don't have a card, you can't buy or sell anything. You can't drive a car, no purchase of food, can't work, can't open a bank account, can't enter any government bldg., can't ride the bus, or fly or use the train. Government officials are urging the abolition of cash (only debit & credit cards used & the Natl'I ID card).

If we don't ask and raise these issues, who will.

There will be many who will say stop - for in order for fascism to replace liberty, people such as we must be silenced.

My very first priest raped me, and just about every Pagan male I've met after that has been a total liar or a pervert. I don't understand why they are like this. Many of them seem to think that, because our faith embraces lovemaking as something sacred, that gives them the right to be completely shameless. I am the High Priestess of a coven now, and I completely trust my High Priest that is running it with me. There is another male in my coven, but he is gay, and I don't feel threatened by him. I know eventually a straight man will want to join. How can I get over my paranoia with Pagan males?

No bashing please, no hate, no attempts at converting me. I really shouldn't have to ask this.

"If you believe in God and turn out to be incorrect, you have lost nothing -- but if you don't believe in God and turn out to be incorrect, you will go to hell. Therefore it is foolish to be an atheist."

This argument is known as Pascal's Wager. It has several flaws.

Firstly, it does not indicate which religion to follow. Indeed, there are many mutually exclusive and contradictory religions out there. This is often described as the "avoiding the wrong hell" problem. If a person is a follower of one religion, he may end up in another religion's version of hell.

Even if we assume that there's a God, that doesn't imply that there's one unique God. Which should we believe in? If we believe in all of them, how will we decide which commandments to follow?

Secondly, the statement that "If you believe in God and turn out to be incorrect, you have lost nothing" is not true. Suppose you're believing in the wrong God -- the true God might punish you for your foolishness. Consider also the deaths that have resulted from people rejecting medicine in favor of prayer.

Another flaw in the argument is that it is based on the assumption that the two possibilities are equally likely -- or at least, that they are of comparable likelihood. If, in fact, the possibility of there being a God is close to zero, the argument becomes much less persuasive. So sadly the argument is only likely to convince those who believe already.

Also, many feel that for intellectually honest people, belief is based on evidence, with some amount of intuition. It is not a matter of will or cost-benefit analysis.

Formally speaking, the argument consists of four statements:

One does not know whether God exists.
Not believing in God is bad for one's eternal soul if God does exist.
Believing in God is of no consequence if God does not exist.
Therefore it is in one's interest to believe in God.
