I think the Temple incident meant he was just a religious believing child as he was taught by parents/leaders and had wisdom of G-d of course.
I wonder..............

Jesus was fully God and fully man in one package. He had two natures and in terms of each nature there maybe was a different answer

As a man we see Jesus grew in wisdom and knowledge and favor with God and man , Luke 2:52 I think, so he could have learned it in a way
As divine He knew it all along

As a man Jesus could die
As divine he could raise himself up

Does it matter if He knew, to be honest Im not sure

Look at the account in the gospel of Luke, where 12 year old Yeshua remains in the temple after the feast, and his parents on their way back home miss him and are worried about him.

When they come back to the temple and Mariam says: "Your father and I were worried," he answered: "Didn't you know I have to be busy with the things of my Father?" Later in his life, Yeshua obviously connected his relationship to God as his Father with his task as Messiah.

Moreover, around his birth many God revealed in many ways that he would be the hope for Yisrael, the one to redeem his people from sin, etc.; see especially Luke 1. It is unlikely that his mother didn't tell him when he grew up.

He probably didn't know as an infant, but who is to say? We do know he knew at age 12, when He as in the Temple, and his parents thought He was travelling with them and they had to go back to Jerusalem to get Him.

Most defiantly, haven't you read the first prophesy in Genesis 3?
God was talking here to the serpent:
15
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel."

And the person that will stike in the head was Jesus.

I don't think he found out until about 40 years after he died and people started worshipping him.
