Every passing moment makes the rapture more likely:

A man drops his wife off at work. She doesn't know what time he's coming back to get her, but she does know he's coming. Every hour that goes by makes her long for his coming a little bit more, and yet, she doesn't fear, because she knows he's coming.

Its the same with us, isn't it?

As for the end times, It depends what you believe:
Some Christians believe that the 'end times' began at the ascention and continue until they, well, end. Others believe that 'end times' officially start with the rapture, or the appearing of the Antichrist on the world scene.

Either way, it doesn't really matter. The point is, he's coming back!

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. Come.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but for the last 2000 years people have been predicting the end times many times each decade. Jesus himself said that those of his time would see the "next coming" within HIS generation. Think about it - Two Thousand Years! And humanity has not seen anything of Jesus. Just how long do you think we are supposed to wait before folks finally wake up and smell the coffee and actually start trying to better our world on our own without waiting for some pie-in-the-sky invisible power to decare it's all over?

I suggest a good hard reajustment of perspectives by reading "A History Of God" by Karen Armstrong, a former nun and world renowned expert and speaker about religion. It's an eye opening look at the creation of mythologies through time beginning long before Jesus was even thought of.

I read some of the responses to this question. Some are very disturbing. This is not a laughing matter. My suggestion is to read the book Revelations. Get the NIV (New International Version) so you will be able to comprehend.

The clock is winding down, now is the time to get our houses (lives) in order and be ready for the second coming of the Lord Jesus.

I believe that feeling is just recognition of a phenomenon of time: that this Is the last day we have lived; truly, we do live at the end of time - on the edge between what has happened and has not yet come.

The kingdom of god is happening, right now, as you read this, And it has been since man first conceived of god, and will continue until the full brotherhood of man is realized.

There is no man coming down from the clouds to save us all from the mess we've made.

We can save ourselve, we can save eachother; Christ himself has already shown us how!

The responsibility of our lives and our fate, even our salvation is in our own hands, right here, right now, in the decisions we make.

When will we awaken and find that we are strong? That the Path to God and Heaven is in us now?

All we have to do is have living faith by Becoming who god has already created us to be.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:31-33

31 "And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other."

32 "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near."

33 "Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door."

Throughout the Bible the fig tree is described to be the nation of Israel. In verse 32, he is saying that Israel is the fig tree and it must be reborn and prosper. When this happens, the time of his coming is soon.

The nation of Israel was established in1948, but did not become complete until they regained control of Jerusalem in 1967.

So the question is: Is this the summer of Israel?

One might say the nation and people can be conquered, and dispersed throughout the world. Therefore, we would have to wait until they become a nation again. This thought process can go on forever, but God wanted people to know when Jesus' coming was near.

The story of Joseph and his brothers is another event (like the one on the Jesus forgives page) that explains how events will come to pass. (Genesis 37- 45) Joseph's brothers came to him twice in Egypt, and they did not recognize him. On their second visit, Joseph could not hold back his emotions and revealed who he was to his brothers.

Israel has been dispersed from the land twice, and just like Joseph did God will not let them be dispersed for a third time.

Jesus is coming soon; are you ready?

If you are not he is standing beside you, waiting for you.

He is waiting for you, because he loves and cares for you. He does not want you to experience the consequences of not accepting him.

All you need to do is believe he gave his life for your sins, and ask him to forgive you from the bottom of your heart.

Yes, we are living in the last days, it's interesting that you ask this because just three days ago I wake up in the morning with the certainty of this verse in thenew testament 2nd. Thes. 2:1-4 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for [that] [Day] [will] [not] [come] unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. And I believe we have seen the falling away of many christians that have fallen away to the world and other false religions, and the son of perdition, which is the praise of Baal in the church the foul rock music that has permeatead the christian church, and that so many had believed to be God, Those are the main reasons I am sure that the end is nigh, God would purify his temple, remember that at the end of Christ ministry one of the most deplorable events was that the Devil entered in Judas, John 13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], to betray Him, "Juda" in Hebrew means "Praise" John 17:12 "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition , that the Scripture might be fulfilled. See it's clear who is the son of perdition, a son is a fruit of a relationship, the end church being related to much to the world, self and flesh, has produced an offspring, the " Praise Of Baal", and your wonder that everybody is trying to fathom if the events ongoing around the world are signs of the end, when the most precise and clear of all signs is within the apostate church, who has embraced "the praise of baal" with it's music and praise. Yes the end would come soon It behooves us to seek after the Lord and pray that we might be counted worthy to escape His wrath.

Yes I really believe we are. I look at all the terrible things taking place in the world and I know it is the feverish work of the enemy because he also knows time is short and the Lord is very soon to come back!! Satan is trying to gather as many souls as he can in the short time he has left. God bless you and keep the faith.
