My family started out Baptist, then became non-practicing, non-denominational Christian. I wasn't baptized.
Then my mother and I converted to Judaism. I'm now an athiest, going to a Jewish college.
So, am I doomed to roast in the deepest firey pit of Hades?

1. Learning about the pass will only help us understand ourselves

2. You dont know where you're going if you dont know where you been

3. Learning about the pass will prevent us from repeating stupid things our forefathers did in the pass

4. Dwelling on the pass has nothing to do with motivation, being a go getter and doing what you have to do to live happy lives

5. Racist white people know that we're lost if we dont understand ourselves. Dont be fooled. Dwell on the pass as much as possible

6 If more blacks dwelled on the pass, they wouldn't be killing eachother because they would have unconditioned themselves

7. Dwelling on the pass will NOT make us angry but it will make us understand the situation we're in today which will allow us to come up with solutions

Lets have a good disscussion about this- what are your motives for liking or disliking Jesus? You do believe you need him? Why or why not? Im just wondering because this has been one of the most controversial issues for awhile now and I want to see what the majority says.

I am a Christian. A born again Southern Baptist. God and Jesus are the most important factions in my life now. I was a terrible sinner for a good part of my life when I was younger. I have a very hard time forgiving myself for past sins, yet I know that God has forgiven me. Do most Christians feel this way or am I alone in this? No, I am not some religious nut who drops and prays if a dark cloud passes by overhead. I love the Lord and He has let me know that He loves me. I don't understand how some can be so callous with their beliefs as though they know and control their destiny. How can an educated person not believe there is a God? Even modern scientist are now learning that most all things recorded in the Old Testament are proven true and as time goes by, more and more are proven true. Many say the Bible reports that the world is only a few thousand years old. The Bible does not indicate that at all. There are different earth ages. A day to God may be a few million years, we don’t know. Seven days is not necessarily mean seven of our present days. There will be only a few compared to the population of the entire world who will go to Heaven. Do you want to be part of the few or do you think you’re just too smart to believe in God Almighty? Our jobs as Christians are to bring as many as possible to God so He can demonstrate His incredible love for them. Please give God a chance. Allow His Holy Spirit to fill you and you will know what many of us already know.

If Allah means God in Arabic, why not call him God when you speak English? That would diffuse a lot of enmity that Christians feel towards you.

according to the bible, he liked to imbibe on wine a lot back in the day, as it was the alcoholic drink of choice in the culture he found himself born in. With so many more choices in the modern word, what drink and brand do you think Jesus would choose to imbibe today?

This article reports the results of a study examining the relationship between a nation’s religiosity and its “moral health.” The received wisdom would lead one to predict a positive correlation between national religiosity and national moral health — as one goes up the other goes up. In fact, that appears not to be the case, and the example of the United States is most striking;

Americans are among the most religious people in the Western world, and yet we have among the highest rates of homicide, abortion, and teen pregnancies. To the extent that these measures are related to something that might be called “national moral health,” the intuitive thesis that links religiosity to morality would seem to be gainsaid.

My only problem with being an agnostic is that in their intellectual smugness they sometimes miss certain obvious things are lies.

Example was one agnostic who said I don't know if the flying spaghetti monster is true, there is no evidence against this, so I am open to it. Newsflash: FSM was a creation in the last few years as an attempt to illustrate keeping religion out of science class rooms.

So, is it possible to be an agnostic, and not be lumped in with the "smug" agnostic psuedo-intellectuals
