Absolutely.

There is no way we would be looking the other way if the Muslim sexism were reversed and the guys in those countries were made to cover their faces and not be able to leave the house without female escort and forced to quit school at age nine, etc, etc, etc.

I do not think that the west has any responsibility in how Islam teaches men to treat women. That is a question for the followers of Islam to answer: Do women have the same rights as men? Should women be treated on the same basis as men? I say "yes" to both; but the west does not attempt to tell the Islamic people what to believe or how to act.
It is strange to read this type of a question; on one hand, most nations will criticize the West if the West attempts to intervene in the affairs of Africa or the Middle East. Then, on the other hand, the West is criticized for not intervening in the affairs of Africa and the Middle East. WHY IS THIS??

The problems for women under Islam have been around for 100s of generations. The only reason western countries know about it is because of their involvement in oil etc. If western countries try to change how women are treated directly, it will just result in more hatred of western countries. The Arab countries are going to have to change themselves. It wasn't that long ago that women were treated badly in western culture. Eventually, Islam will have to change too.

For protecting my rights, I don't need you! Try to solve your women's problems, like violence, rape etc.... Muslim governments were paying for the women who was not married, because of "some foreign people" tried to destroy our countries, we had lost that right! So, please contribute ALL of those kind of things to your own women, we do not need YOU!
