Because I don't believe in him either. But that doesn't mean I don't believe in God, and that doesn't mean I'm not a Christian. Since when did atheists become the arbiters of permissible forms of theism?

I have a 48-hour rule. If I don't get back to you in 48-hours, chances are slim I'd ever get back to you at all.

What's your personal rule?

I hope i don't appear to be stereotyping and i know that some black boys do not get involved in guns, but the majority of them do. I want to know why this is and what could be done about it. Boys from other ethnic groups get involved sometimes, but it appears a predominantly afro-caribbean problem

Recently I hosted a couples dinner at my home. There were 3 couples, one of which was a VERY conservative christian male.No alcohol was served;however the main course was cooked with wine as it was a mediterranean dish. The wine simmered for 30 mins.,thus boiling off the alcohol in the dish, but leaving the wonderful flavor of the grape.Everyone LOVED the dish as I got multiple cudos.
When asked prior to the dinner about the main dish,All I said was it was a Mediterranean meal that I think you'd like. The no-alcohol male in question loved it so much he took ALLOF IT leftover home in a ziploc container !
Heres the point of view:
ME: hey , it's 1 of my fav dishes and everyone loved it.The alcohol in the wine boiled off, so there's no alcohol in it. nuff said
My GF : Although you (I think) didn't do this in spite of him,it would've been nice of you to tell him it was made with alcohol
My rebut:That would've changed the entire evening ,and they may not have come.I told everyone the recipe

Zechariah 5:9-10
"Then I looked up - and there before me were two WOMEN, with the wind in their WINGS! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
"Where are you taking the basket?" I asked the angel who was speaking to me..."

From this passage I take it that there are female angels as well as male ones.

I mean, I'm a Christian. And it seems like the world is in shambles. I was just reading a news story on the Isrealis bombing some place in Lebanon....it alarms me that so much violence abounds all over the world.

For those who aren't Christians, if you can see this turmoil, and it bothers you, claim Christ as your savior now! God says that it will only get worse until Jesus comes back again. It's never too late to give your life to God. The world we live in...it's getting bad.

If someones say "I believe in God"
Do you wonder what it means to them?
or
Do you automatically think of the religion(s) you were raised in, practice, or know of, and its
God(s)?

- who can grasp the concept of talking about God without bringing any religion into it??

Galatians 1:6-9 Apostle Paul says "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Christ for a different religion. But even if an angel from heaven, should preach to you a different religion, let him be accursed."
