i usually try to buy gifts for the holidays through out the year so that i know that i will have the money for to buy the gifts and so that it is a little easier on my budget. i also look at different sales throughout the year so that i can get the best deals possible so that I'm not breaking the bank either and waiting to the last minute and then it not be there when i was planning to buy that particular item.

I usually wait till the last minute. If I buy throughout the year, I forget what I bought and where I stored it. It's really much better for me to wait until the last minute, so to speak. I do save $$ throughout the year for holiday gifts though so as not to spend a lot all at once.

I usually do a little bit of both. I'll look around throughout the year and pick up certain things, but I do pick up things last minute too. This year I really need to start somewhat soon because we're going on a Christmas cruise, so things have to be wrapped and bought as before Christmas as I can get things.

I usually start shopping for the holidays around July. I always find really great deals, and I'm so excited that I won't have to spend so much money. However, when the holiday season arrives, I get so caught up that I want to buy new gifts for everyone, and I end up keeping the cheapie good deals for myself. In the long run I spend more money. I still do it every year though! In fact, I've already started this year.

I buy the perfect gift for you, when I see it. Does not matter what day of the year it is.
Except for my husband, For him I have to wait till the last minute or he will find it and use it. I have in the past resorted to hiding it at other people's home.

I'm a last minute gal, I tried shopping early two years ago, and ended up spending twice as much, and forgot what I had already bought....does not work for me, but I envy the people who make it work, and are not out shopping on Christmas eve, with the rejects like me....

If I see a great item during the year I will purchase it. But then I have to store it and it can be a pain. Most often I do my shopping the day after Thanksgiving when everything is dirt cheap.

I shop year around but I will aslo admit to doing most of my shopping right after I file taxes (and get my income tax back)... thats when I buy all the big things for my daughter and rest of the family, then the rest of hte year I buy all the things that go with those big items......
Like I buy a stereo for my 13 yr old niece, then throughout the year I buy her CD's and headset and batteries so she can take it with her and so forth.....along with a CD case....
