I have a 48-hour rule. If I don't get back to you in 48-hours, chances are slim I'd ever get back to you at all.

What's your personal rule?

People are busy. If someone tries to contact me and I'm busy I don't get back to them right away, but that doesn't mean I don't care. I allow other people the same freedom.

After you've read or heard the message. Think of it this way. If someone next to you, asked you a question, don't you think it is rude to make them wait two days for your answer?

well if it's a friend, then I'd call, text, or e-mail her back right away, because you don't wanna lose the friends you have.
