I want to ask a question. A really serious heart wrenching question.
I want an answer from someone spiritual that has studied and prayed and been through pain and forgiveness issues in their own lives.

Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise, the man who created Reform Judaism in America, & who eulogized the fallen Abraham Lincoln, began his eulogy with these words..." Brethern, the lamented Abraham Lincoln believed himself to be bone from our bone & flesh from our flesh. He supposed himself to be a descendant of Hebrew parentage. He said so in my presence."

I am so sick of hearing about the world cup. I couldn't care less. I see nothing wrong with people playing sports and all but why is it such an obsession? I hear people say that sports keeps kids out of trouble but then why are there so many corupt sports personalities? I don't think they deserve what they get paid and I don't think of them as heroes. It just seems like everyone is so obsessed with professional sports and I could care less. People get into arguments it which makes no sense because it really doesn't matter who wins what. Sports personalities are promicous, use drugs, drink, and do all kinds of crazy things. I don't see why a sports personality would be called a role model.

Am I the only one that thinks that men getting paid a lot of money to play with a ball is just plain childish. The same applies to women's sports. I can't stand women's basket ball and think women athletes are just plain unfeminine

How do you feel when people make false judgements because of what you wear..and their ignorance of your religon??

I am a muslim women who wears hijab....and I am tired of people saying these things...

1) I am forced to wear the hijab, and I am oppressed so that I must take it off....I choose to wear the hijab (My parents actually do not want me to wear it). I do so because I want to follow my religion..and like to be modest..

2) You can't wear hijab..because 'When in Rome'....I was born in the west...and I think I should have the same rights as everyone else...like the Catholic Nun to wear her habit...Aren't these countries meant to be democratic and free. Isn't practising your religion a basic human right???

3)By wearing the hijab..it offends me!...HOW??? Do I give you physical pain!.. My hijab hurts no one..I am, not stopping you from dressing how you like..I am not forcing you to become a Muslim?? You can only be offended if you are prejudiced

because they think that it sounds far fetched and too coincidental, but have no problem in believing some magical force created the world in 6 days, inspired people to write the Bible, divinely impregnated a virgin to have his son who later died on the cross to apparently give salvation to those who believed in them.

Which one is really harder to believe?

If someone ask a pungent question about Islam they remove it. But foul, filthy, sacreligious attacks on Chrsitianity are allowed to remain? Why is that???

I've been around the Middle East, and known a few Muslims. I've even shot a few when I had to. My question is, what do you think about Islam and freedom, as well as western culture? Is the religion of Islam truly a peaceful religion that can coexist with the west? I already have my own beliefs that I've formed after researching Islam and reading portions of the Koran, but I want to know what other people think.

Assertions that a particular group of people is in some way superior to the rest of humanity are without foundation. Prejudice--whether based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or class--is a baneful heritage that must be overcome if humanity is to create a peaceful and just global society.

I believe that when we are born...we are born already missing something. We spend our whole lives trying 2 fill that void from trying 2 gain acceptance from fello man 2 lying your way around & 2 doing drugs even. What is missing is whatever u might call the "High Power(s)" in your opinion. So many different things in this world are simply there & are very distracting. So distracting infact, we may not realize how far off the road we've been lured. I don't think there is a real "Devil" or "Satan"... I believe that we all have that same thing within us since we all know the difference between right and wrong and we all have the power within us to take either route 100% if we wanted to. The "Higher Power(s)" have equal love for us all, love we could have even given 2 each other! The fact is...when we know what's up/down, right/left, in/out, forward/backward... we get selfish. We all at one point may have probably wanted to be the "King of the Mountain" Too bad that........................
