WHere I live people get robbed in daylight too. There are so many scumbags out there and they have no fear of the law. I got robbed at gunpoint on a saturdaynight about 11:15 (not late for a saturday night) in my apartment parking while my neighbors where standing out looking down. A lot of convenient stores in my city get robbed and the clerk shot in the daytime whereas that used to be something that only happened in the late nighthours. The world is just getting worse. Glad you're o.k and be assured it will take a little time to recover from the experience. It took me a couple months

What did he look like.? I presume it was a he, and did you report it to the police.?
Don't forget, you can get free counciling if you need it through victim support.
I stopped a 15 yr old at Liverpool st station who tried to naff of with my hold all while I was on the phone. I dropped the phone( bt landline payphone), ran after the little scrote, rugby tackled him and brought him down.
Do you know, when his parents turned up, they wanted to press charges against me , just because their little bundle of joy had a small cut on his fore head, and a graze to one cheek.
I hadn't a chance even to put the boot in before transport police jumped on me and pulled me off. The police, who I had told, that I wanted to press charges, told me for my own good, to walk away and forget it so as to avoid a worse counter claim from the familly.
Justice ehhh.
( by the way this was over 15 years ago)
Anyway hope you yourself are o.k and not to shaken.
Take care.

So glad you managed to get one in. I hope you reported it to the Police - it is unlikely they'll catch the guy, but they do need to know what is going on.

I had my phone snatched just walking along and my mum, on the other end nearly had a heart attack as she thought I was being mugged (luckily he didn't hurt me) - but now I wont walk along talking on the phone - it is just wrong.

I hope you have had a good strong cuppa and are going out with your mates tonight - feel better soon.

It was me, I truly regret it now. After that punch I took a dizzy spell and fell out of a 20 storey building into a skip full of broken glass, pulled myself out to get run over by a steamroller then hit by lightning. I see the error of my ways!!!!!sorry

The world is full of scrounging scum who try to make a quick buck!!!

You are lucky to get in the punch and not end up further hurt...

Muggers know that these days, people have mobiles and stuff that they can sell...

Sad sign of the times isn't it, just be thankful you're still alive cos the scumbags these days seem to think nothing of sticking a knife in you as well as robbing you!
Hope you're ok anyhows & I hope your punch hurt the s h i t bag!

Oh? Ugh!
Glad you are all right.

Wouldn't it be nice if all people treated others as they would themselves?

Best thing you can do is pray for whoever it was that mugged you.... that they wake up and realize they are a better person than they think they are.... and that what they do to others, they are doing to themselves.
