I heard that you dont celebrate birthdays or holidays. No disrespect, but I'm just wondering why that is. Whats the logic and scriptural reason for that?

According to the secret Mormon temple ceremony, the "sure sign of the nail" secret quasi-Masonic handshake is how one achieves eternal salvation. So come on Mormons, why not cut through the BS, forget about teaching the Book of Mormon and just show us all the "Sure Sign of the Nail."

During the Winter Holidays, I've often wondered if it would be a good idea to give a gift to the mail carrier, newspaperman, and others. Does anyone else do this? Your thoughts?

If someone is a non-believer, there is no amount of Bible-quoting that will change his mind. Why not redirect that energy into something productive?

I moved over to the US from England a few weeks ago with my mum and start High School in the autumn. In England Ashley is a guys name and not used much on girls. But over here I know its sort of the opposite. My mum spelt my name Ashlee to make it that bit different from the other boys with the same name in England, but here people keep assuming I am a girl before they know me.

So, should I just use Ash (which my friends usually call me anyway once they know me) and try to hide my real name. Or will that be worse if I get found out and it looks like I am ashamed of it. Or should I just stick by name and the way its spelt and be proud of it and not worry about how different names are used in different cultures.

Not sure what to do and would like opinons.

Thx

Ashlee

this isn't a racist question but rather a question many people have? how do these "uniques" names come to fruition? for example: Shalonda, Quineshia, Tyrese, etc.

In the subways, even when I am talking to a man sitting across from me, his legs wide apart. Even though I like to conclude with the obvious--seduction. But how could that seduce a woman (if that is the purpose) Could it be for any reason? Many of my girlfriend experienced the same thing. I would appreciate honest response from men only. Even if you guys thing it is sexual, please explain with details and dont be afraid to express in honesty. Thanks!!

Is there anyone out that that has converted to the church of LDS? Is there any pointers, help, suggestions, etc...for someone learning about the church and possibly becoming a member?

No one in my family is a member. I was raised in the Baptist church. But over the past few years I have felt a strong pulling to this church. I have several movies that I have watched, read several books, read the Ensign, visit to the LDS.org and mormom.com websites as well.

I want kids in the countryside to get the opportunity to learn how to read and write and explore the modern world like the rest of the kids in America. I hope to find other Khmer from different part of the world to either go back home volunteer or donate money and help people in their home town or their parents home town. With our small population I believe it very possible to get Cambodia back on track in a shorter time frame then other courtries with larger population.

Look at your hands. One is left, one is right. One always lies, one always tells the truth. One is Satan, one is God. Put them together, and you have man. Put them apart and you have a choice to make. When one says one thing, the other says the opposite. Which, is which? Are we of God, are we of Satan? Can we be more, can we be less? Prove me wrong, and you'll be proving me right. Prove me right, and you'll be proving me right. Prove you wrong, and I'll be right.
