this happens to be often, but I usually don't tell anyone till it happens so it has no affect.

I think if enough came true -- and I wanted to document them -- I would tell someone. Better yet, I might write them and mail them to myself (keep them unopened until the events occured) or establish a blog and write them.
As for being locked in a padded cell, that might only happen if a doctor just wanted to fill a hospital bed. A lot of people make livings off "telling the future", so having dreams should not be a reason for locking a person up. Too, if you can establish a history of being right, perhaps you can save people... through your dreams.

Sounds like you have psychic abilities. It's like a sixth sense if you will. I get them too.The dream is very real. All of your senses are aware. I had one of a kidnapping and woke up screaming couldn't shake the feeling .Anyway, I forewarned the childs father he said don't worry about it, just a dream. One month later the "gut" feeling went away and then I received a phone call from the boys father saying that he was kidnapped. The poor guy sold his home and business in order to put his time and money into searching for his child. One year later he was found and is doing fine today. This is just one of many, and I let people know. They can take it or leave it . At least your concience is clear knowing that you tried or even helped some one. Luv to hear about your dream..........

I had a dream that my friend broke her legs and the next day she was in an accident exactly the same as the one in my dream. Though she didn't break her legs she was quite badly hurt. (Fine now though!)
Is this something that could be prevented? If not then I don't think it is worth worrying about, but to put your mind at rest maybe you could post something anonomously on the internet. That way, you wouldn't feel guilty if something happened, and wouldn't get locked up if it didn't!

About one week before my sister died I had a dream that there was a terrible car accident. I remember crying because someone had died. I knew that it was someone close to me. I thought it was my husband. A week later when I got the call that my sister had been in an accident I knew she was dead even before getting to the hospital. Sure enough she had died on impact.
I actually did tell my mom about my dream. I told her that I was afraid that it my husband would die. She told me that I could not dwell on it. I had to live each day fully. After my sister died my mom knew that I had somehow known that there was going to be a loss.
It is strange even my sister somehow knew. Before leaving church Wednesday night she came back inside the church and hugged my dad and told him to always remember that she loved him. The next morning she would die on the way to town.

Firstly Id ponder whether it was mere coincidence and diarise it and see if it happens twice again then id sit and suck on my dummy/pacifier while I tell the media about it and hope I dont get placed in an ugly padded cell.

I've been telling different insurance agents while I've filled out policies over the years ( that flood insurance is the best ), but other wise no. Never be afraid to spend money on lawyers or insurance is my way of thinking, it is the western way, how we tamed the Continent.

The general belief is that if you tell the dream to somebody it will not happen. So if it is good donot tell.If it is bad tell others.
Dreams during day time will not happen. The most happening dreams are early morning dreams

Well throughout history, it shows how people who had visions of things happening and when they told someone they thought it was all in their head or they were crazy and it when it did happen...people called them witches and stuff...salem witch trials, joseph and his dream, etc...but I would take my chances and tell them and then get my family to a safe location
