Child Porn Among Fastest Growing Internet Businesses

By LifeSiteNews.com Staff

ALEXANDRIA, Va., November 9, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Within only a few years, child pornography has become a multi-billion dollar commercial enterprise, and is among the fastest growing businesses on the Internet. Through the use of digital and web cameras, child pornography has become easier and less expensive to produce. Distribution on the Internet has facilitated instant access by thousands and possibly millions of individuals throughout the world. The ability to use credit cards to purchase child pornography has made it easier than ever to obtain.

Arrests in the United States for the possession of child pornography, during a one-year period from 2000 to 2001, exposed alarming activities.

According to investigators, the majority of those arrested had images of children who had not yet reached puberty. Specifically, 83% had pornographic material that involved children between ages of 6 and 12; 39% had material involving children between ages 3 and 5; and 19% had images of infants or toddlers under age 3.

"The ease and anonymity of using home computers has revolutionized accessibility as well as the production and distribution of child pornography, especially across international borders," said Ernie Allen, President and CEO, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). "The fact that child pornography can be purchased using a credit card, or traded at no cost on the Internet, is causing an exploding global problem and an immeasurable impact on the sexual exploitation of children."

The exact number of Web sites is difficult to determine. Since 1997, the number of child pornography images on the Internet is estimated to have increased by 1500%. It is estimated that 100,000 child pornography Web sites exist on the Internet, and that number may be increasing. NCMEC's congressionally mandated CyberTipline received 21,603 reports of child pornography in 2001, and in 2004 it received 106,176 reports -- a 491% increase over a four-year period.

Child pornography is illegal in most countries. The possession and/or distribution of child pornography is a federal crime in the United States. It is estimated that 20% of all pornography on the Internet involves children.

"Traditionally, we have viewed pedophiles as the users and distributors of child pornography," said Allen. "However, we are shocked to learn that the consumer market for child pornography is growing and becoming much broader.

Younger and younger children are being victimized, and the content is becoming more graphic and more violent."

Mt. Rushmore has existed for about 60 years, but if you "could" give it billions of years could it design itself with just wind, erosion, rain, etc. I mean thats the same concept of evolution/big bang theories that given enough time things can build themselves right>>? Logically everything has an intelligent designer/builder. Wut do u think?

I politely asked for everyone to pray to Elizabeth for me and they kept praying to some guys called "Jesus", "Lord" and "God". I even gave them Elizabeth's address to make it easy for them.

I just got home from quite a strange experience and would like to know, if there is anybody whom I can share this feeling with.
Today I got into a conversation of 3 people at work (an After Hour Club) and after that conv. was over (we were closed already) I found myself left there with this complete stranger and as one word led to another, we were suddenly talking about addictions, love, losses, bosses, trust, life crises ... pretty much everything that is deeply meaningful in human lives. There were no pauses, one topic brought us to the next, it was a very open conversation that lasted for 8 (!) hours. And we actually only stopped, because I have to get some sleep before working again. And there was absolutely no sexual attraction.
I just think this was a very special, seldom situation that we probably don't get to be part of very often in our lives.
I feel lighter and happier, even though I wasn't unhappy before it at all.
Anybody there, who knows how good but weird this feels?

Is it moral to try and free religious people from the prison of their mind? I'm not sure its a moral obligation.

If we were alive 3000 years ago would we be trying to free people who believe that the sun is God? Would we be in ancient Greece trying to convince people that Zeus isn't real?

If we were in Zion, would we have a moral obligation to go to free people from the Matrix? What if they are happy and content in the Matrix?

What if Christians are happy believing that God made Adam and eve, and if we convince them that human evolved from common ancestor it turns them into miserable persons and resentful to those who brainwashed them.

Should we just let them be and take comfort in our own freedom of thought?

I thought it said somewhere that Noah was to take 6 of every animal, and only 2 of unclean and unpure animal. If that is said in the bible, then why do biblical historians clutch to the idea that noah only took 2 of everything?

I was arrested for fighting and apart from the fine I had to attend an 'Anger management' course.
During one of these sessions the guy running the course called me a 'punk'!! so I decked him and gave him a few kicks!
The session had been recorded and I stole the tape to prove I was provoked into giving him a bit of a kicking.
My lawyer is now telling me I had no right to take the tape and he cant produce it in court , have I got a case? or should I go back and give him a few more kicks??
Any 'legal Eagles' out there??

Christians in Arabic speaking countries say Allah. They even say Isa for Jesus and Maryam for Mary. So why do some people think that Allah is just a Muslim God and only Muslims call him Allah?

And before you say that this is not true or that I would not know, I do live in an Arabic speaking country.
