I would like to think that I'm a reasonably intelligent human being. I also firmly believe that if one never questions what they've been taught they can never be sure that is what they believe.

So, my querry is prove to me, logically, that God does not exit?

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRG! I am so unbelievably sick of this question. I think I'm going to stop answering it pretty soon. Alright, look, someone I knew who worked at a mental health facility took care of someone who believed that lesbians were trying to take over his mind through electrical outlets. Can you prove that they weren't? No you cannot. Things that don't exist don't leave any "proof" to be had, because THEY DON'T EXIST. Does that make them true? Certainly not. I don't need any proof to tell me that no lesbians were trying to take over his mind through electrical outlets, do you?

It is impossible to prove or disprove that there is a God or gods.

You cannot disprove the existence of God because in order for you to do that you would have to have perfect knowledge of all things. If you didn't then you would have to admit that God could exist outside of what you know.

You cannot prove that there is a God because I cannot physically introduce Him to you.

I can, however, take a look at the order of the universe, the earth, my own body, the intricacies in which I am made and conclude that there is a design there.

I can also examine the resurrection and decide what I believe is a reasonable explanation for what happened. The concusion that I have come to is that Jesus rose from the dead for the following reasons: What happened to the body?
- If the Pharisees and enemies of Jesus had the body
they would have produced it when the apostles
announced the resurrection thus totally crushing the
movement.
- if the disciples had the body What explains the
change in their lives?. While
some might die for a lie not knowing it is a lie, I don't
believe someone would die for a lie knowing it was a
lie.
- after the death of Jesus the disciples were hiding in
an upper room afraid that they would be next.
Suddenly they are out in front of Jerusalem
preaching about the Him, ready to die for Him.
- Jesus may not have really died but if that were
true how could someone who had been crucified and
had a spear thrust through his side emerge out of a
tomb blocked by a stone that weighed 100's of
pounds and then present himself to His disciples as
the conquerer of death?

These are a few of the things that have led me to believe in God. It isn't a leap of faith. It is a step. But it does require faith. As it says in Hebrews 11 - "For without faith it is impossible to please God."

I wish you success in your search for truth, if that is truly what you are doing.

It is almost impossible, and perhaps it is impossible, to prove a negative. For example, here some reasons that Santa Claus doesn't exist and there counter:
1. We haven't found him.
He has very advanced stealth and phasing technology that allows him to avoid all detection devices we have.
2. He has not delivered presents to any children.
He only delivers present to good children; therefore, he must consider every child to be bad. If you think there are some good children that only shows your standards are different from his.
3. Reindeer cannot fly.
His Reindeer are from an alternate universe that our current level of technology cannot detect. In that universe these reindeer creatures have some sort of power of gravity that we do not yet understand.

So you can pretty much make up anything and just say we don't yet have the technology to detect it yet. Even if we could come up with theories that explained the existence of the universe without God, that doesn't mean He does not exist. It simply shows that He might not, the only way to be sure is to witness the creation of our universe. Even if God did exist this would be impossible (one could always say He's just and advanced lifeform that is tricking us) and if He doesn't it is also impossible.

>>I also firmly believe that if one never questions what they've been taught they can never be sure that is what they believe.<<

which is exactly what science does on a constant basis. At this point there is no single way to prove what you're asking, but looking at the theories of the big bang, evolution, the origin of planets, fossil records, and all the other things the blind-faithers are not willing to accept, every result combined and looked at together overwhelmingly seems to point in the same direction.

Can you prove the existence of Adam & Eve, Noah, Moses, Satan and all the other characters in the Bible (without using the Bible as proof)?

It's impossible to prove a negative, that's why the burden of proof will always be on the believer. Anyways, I think the most obvious factual evidence against the existence of god is all of the evil in the world. (Or god is evil but, I'm assuming you're asking about an all loving and all good god)

Logically there is no point.

The onus is on those making outrageous claims about magic and the supernatural to prove it. If I told you that I could fly simply by flapping my arms the onus would be on me to prove it to you. It is not your job to refute my bizarre and baseless claims.

Christians claim that a magical figure wished the entire universe into existence in a day, molded some mud and made it into a human, put the man to sleep ripped out one of his ribs and made a woman etc. These are baseless claims that are absurd and unlikely. It is not the job of the non-believer to PROVE that this did not happen, it is the job of the Christian to prove that it actually happened this way. And no, showing me a story in a book is not proof.

Logically prove to me God does exist. There is not enough substancial(sp) evidence to deny or prove the existence of a God. This is why I remain an Agnostic.

Prove to me that the Bible is really the Word of God

To believe in God is to believe in Satan. To dis-believe in one, is to dis-believe in both. Then you are God. But you make mistakes, so you are back to being man. Satan could have written the bible to cause confusion. Satan loves illogical things. The bible is illogical, because believing in a God that doesn't exist is illogical. 1+-1= 0 No God. Satan wins.

I don't think that there is a logicaly sound argument that can 'prove' God's existence. The best you can hope to achieve is an argument that proves whether your faith is true or not.
