The Greek myths are evil because they had a horrible influence on the people of Greece. Belief in the Greek gods caused the people of Greece to basically view themselves as nothing but the playthings of the gods. They believed their lives were worthless, and had no value. As a result, they often gave up on life and just partied themselves into oblivion in an imitation of what they believed the gods were doing. There were some very bright spots in the history of ancient Greece, but the overall result of their religious beliefs resulted in the destruction of the entire society.

You can see the evils of many religious beliefs by what has happened to the societies that held those beliefs.

Here are the footnotes of the annotated New American Bible, which point out that the ancient reference here has nothing to do with the Greek pantheon.

"1 [1-4] This is apparently a fragment of an old legend that had borrowed much from ancient mythology. The sacred author incorporates it here, not only in order to account for the prehistoric giants of Palestine, whom the Israelites called the Nephilim, but also to introduce the story of the flood with a moral orientation--the constantly increasing wickedness of mankind."

You must read on to understand that God found all of this to be wicked and told Noah to build an ark so God could destroy the inhabitants of the earth except for Noah and his family. You also must remember that the bible is not always written litterally, but it is written figuratively as well.

ok, that does not mean that they were gods of olympia....it says that they desired the women on earth and came down and had children by these women. what the bible says is that these offspring were not heroes but caused many problems on earth....god eventually punished them for it. if u actually read the bible, you would see that it did not call them heroes but were evil.

Equating man to god is violating the #1 commandment in both old and new testaments!

Real or not, worshipping heros is disgraceful to God!

The sons of angels were not "hero's" ! They were just an example of how humans had followed the dark sight of the spiritual realm.

It says heavenly beings, and even demons were heavenly beings at one time. It had nothing to do with the gods of olympia.

Exodus 23:13
13 "Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.

There is only one God.

Satan is mentioned too in the Bible. That doesn't make him "good" neither.

Besides do you not understand the concept of
"One God, and NO OTHER!"?

Idolatry isn't acceptable ~ under any circumstance.
