I used to think hell isn't a real place, but as a metaphor in the religious teaching to make men think twice about their action.
However I had recently discovered for myself that Hell is as real as Disney world and its a very scary place.
I recently heard from a pastor that there might be a record of documented scream from hell, and I did found it on the Internet.
The website for this is http://amightywind.com/hell/aboutsounds.htm
The website provides detail background story on how the recording was obtained and the actually sound file which you can listen through your computer.
There are many identical descriptions of Hell that exist in both western religion and eastern religion (for example Christianity & Buddhism), the interesting part is the documents that depict Hell exist before the two cultures had any contact at all; but describe the environment with identical descriptions base on my own research.
If religion made up the concept of "Hell" to make people think twice of their action, then why would two completely different culture with different climate, language and living standard have the same description?
Now I believe Hell is real, very real~

If you don't want to go to Hell, stay away from Iceland. Hell is a city in Iceland. And for those that claim scientists found Hell under Siberia, it is pure fiction. A quote from www.snopes.com:
"If there is a Hell under Siberia, scientists have yet to discover it. What we have here is an enthralling legend that's been spun off an actual event.
In 1984, an article about an experimental well in Russia's Kola Peninsula appeared in Scientific American. The Kola well reached 12 kilometers into the ground, where scientists encountered rare rock formations, flows of gas and water, and temperatures up to 180°. (That's 180°, folks, not the 2,000° usually reported in any "Scientists Discover Hell!" screed. It was hot, but it wasn't hellishly so.)
Those who did the actual drilling of this very real well did not break through to a hollow centre, and certainly no piteous screams of the damned were heard. That part — all of it — was pure embellishment added after this real event was turned into a legend. (Yes, we know that any number of web sites offer audio clips purporting to be the screams of the damned as recorded in the Well to Hell, and all of them sound like they could be the noise from a typical bar on a busy Friday evening.) It's a real place allright, but it exists in a future time and the RESULTS of the fire are what last eternally, not the fire itself. This is not what many preachers teach, but it is what the Bible teaches.
"But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word (referring to God's creatorship) are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men....the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED UP....Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless."
II Peter 3:7, 10, 12-14 King James Version
You see, it's the brightness of Jesus' glory and the condemnation men have brought upon themselves that will cause their destruction. The Lord takes no delight in punishing sin. He simply cannot allow it to continue indefinitely. And the overcomers, who choose holiness and salvation, will not allow it to rise up a second time. Who would want to? We're all pretty tired of the evil we see going on in this sin-weary world.
Jesus lived, died and was resurrected so that man could be set free from sin and avoid ultimate destruction. I thank Him and praise Him for the gift of ETERNAL life, which is promised ONLY to the righteous through His blood.
Please feel free to message me regarding the Bible's true teaching about "hell", which really has three different Hebrew and Greek meanings. Example: "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14 KJV
Here we see that hell and the lake of fire are two different things. That's because "hell" in this instance means "the grave".
Praise God there will be no more death, according to this beautiful promise with which I close: "...he will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Rev. 21: 3-4 Blessings to you. Buttercup

Hell is not a place...it is a state of mind...if you believe it you will experience it. You can torment yourself right here, right now in the Hell of your own mind, just by believing you are a sinner.
God is all-loving and does not "send" souls to any physical place known as Hell.

I believe hell is real; however, the Bible tells us that it does not last forever.
Revelation ch 20, vs 14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
So, hell is eventually cast into the lake of fire, which is eternal. But, all things considered, you wouldn't really be catching much of a break when that happens.

I think hell is a real place... the Only way to avoid it is to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. It's in the Bible, John 14:6.

No, there is no hell. I believe that when you move on to the next realm, you have to face what you have done and learn from it (which may be a hellish experience, but only temporary). Then move on again. Your idea of hell is a blasphemy.

All people who die go to "hell" It is mans common grave. Soon hell will be done away with. All the people, both righteous and unrighteous who are sleeping in death in hell will be resurrected by Jesus who has the keys to death and hell:
REVELATION 1:18__ "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
ACTS 24:15_"And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust"
REVELATION 20:13.14: "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."
Once death is no more, hell (graves) will no longer be needed

I don't believe it is a real place. I believe it can exist in people's minds, and they can create their own hell. Hence the phrases, 'living hell', or 'hell on earth'.
