When I first saw Yahoo answers I thought it was pretty awesome. But really I think it does more harm then help to the younger crowd. After seeing questions like:

"How do a women give birth?"
and
"When is the write time to do sex?"

It makes me wonder if these kids should really be educated from a crowd like random internet junkies.

I got royally pissed a while ago when the receptionist was talking in her cell and then asked me to pick up the freakin phone for her. Neither of us are superior to the other, but what the heck?! I shouldn't have to cover for her when she's busy with something that's not work-related. What would you have said or done if you were in this situation?

I mean, gravity does more for us on a daily basis than God does and we don't even have to ask it to.

Gravity changes the tides, it keeps the earth from exploding, it keeps you planted on the floor, it keeps the Earth in orbit and keeps our wonderful atmosphere from floating off into space and leaving us here to toast. Gravity allows us to have satellite TV. All of these things are provided to us by gravity, but gravity requires no worship.

You don't hear gravity inspiring people to write books about torturing us if we don't worship it.

I think we should worship gravity, in all of it's humility, agreed?

Is there something you do that you know is bad for you (or for others) but you just can't stop doing it?

Come on, it cant just hit a wall way out there. It must go on for infinity, never ending, weird. And the thought that God rules all of it... seems a bit ludicrous.

When in Paris, I felt completely safe using the metro or walking anywhere pretty much anytime of day or night. Then, on our last trip to San Francisco, we were nervous about even leaving our hotel at night to go to dinner. I also have a friend who was mugged at gunpoint in a mall parking garage in Norfolk at 3pm! Does anyone else feel that, especially in the bigger cities, that the US is just not safe anymore?

all emotional, wanting to know why i won;t talk to her. personally i think she's stuck so far up her own backside she's no fun to be around. plus she's a tramp. but no matter what i say she still talks to me. what should i say/do to get her to stay the hell away from me, without me losing my job.
then there's this other wee cow who doesn't like me, and seeing her turns my stomach. she giggles over EVERYTHING. she's 19 going on 4. i blank her when i can, but she always stares at me when we pass looking for a reaction. since hitting her with a shovel is not an option what should i do?
then there's yank at work who is the dumbest laziest piece of work ever. he loves to wind me up, so i wind him up. he's very homophobic so i make sexual remarks to him. how do i get him to move back to the usa?
then i have become addicted to internet webcams. its havoc for the credit cards. once the wabs come out i'm happy. what should i do?

I lived in Northern Viginia for 12 years, and in Florida for the last 11 years. Aside from the beach, I think Florida sucks. The education system is terrible, and the people that live here are unlike any other kind of people in the world. I swear there must be something in the water.... what do you guys think?

I am an atheist but I have nothing against religion. If you want to believe, good for you. My opinion is that religion is fine but organized religion is, overall, a bad thing. Religion gives men hope. Organized religion is responsible for controlling its congregation members' opinions. Religion helps guide some people on a moral path. Organized religion takes money out of your pockets. Religion gives people something to have faith in. Organized religion is responsible for the deaths of millions throughout history.

Would we not all be better off keeping religion but doing away with massive organized religion? We could still have spiritual guidance counselors, etc...

(P.S. Fellow atheists, please don't jump down my throat about this, I am trying to appeal to the majority here...)
