The word Bible comes from the Greek biblia. It means little books. That Greek word comes from biblos, a word that describes the inner part of the papyrus plant out of which they made a primitive form of paper.

A city around Isreal manufactured Papyrus, the plant used to make paper. They made Bibles and the books of Bible's out of this. It was a plant much like Reeds, that the stripped and hammered together until it was mounded togehter. This city was called Byblos, and so BIBLES where named after it's creator in Papyrus form, Byblos.

The King James Version of the BIble fell from Heaven amidst a chorus of Angels while Moses was in Mount Sanai. It is all 100% true, and if you don't believe that, that is a one way ticket to Hell.

Biblos, Greek for books. In Spanish, a library is called a "Biblioteca". It means "a collection of books". We call it THE Bible because it's supposed to mean that it's the best collection of books.

Yes, from the root "biblio" Note that The Bible is really "The Book", as if it were the one and only, or at least the most important book ever. (As many people believe it is.)
