I lived in Northern Viginia for 12 years, and in Florida for the last 11 years. Aside from the beach, I think Florida sucks. The education system is terrible, and the people that live here are unlike any other kind of people in the world. I swear there must be something in the water.... what do you guys think?

I agree, Florida sucks. it's hot, humid, and there are too many hurricanes. but when i'm hanging out with my friends i don't really care about that stuff. I do think there is somthing in the water though..... maybe the presidentail votes from 2001

Wow that is so critical and rude for absolutely no reason.... Hmm. Well my dad lives in Florida and I plan on spending the summer with him in Pensacola. Maybe the education system sucks in the area of FL you are in. And if you don't like it send your kids to a private school or get more active in changing the systems that you hate. Why do you not like the people there? I will agree that some of the people are racist, or what have you, but you will find people that you don't agree with or like no matter where you go. If you seem to hate Florida so much why are you there? After 11 years it seems like you would have gotten the courage to leave. Thanks for your insights though. =)

I love Florida. I am a Florida native and even with the hurricanes, hot and humid conditions, alligators, education system, etc. I don't think there is any other place I could call home. I like the rest of the beautiful United States, but Florida is home to me. If you think the education system is so bad try private school, homeschooling, or involve yourself to make changes. Please don't take offense to my next statement, but I-75 and I-95 both have northbound lanes. I-10 will even take you west into Alabama.

i HATE Florida, i visited my family there last summer and it sucks. I don't know why but if there was one state in the U.S that I would not want to live in, I would say it would be Florida, I live in North Carolina and i like it WAY more than Florida.

I never been to Florida before. I would like to visit there but not live there. There are too many Hurricanes and alagators. Not my cup of tea. I would like to live in houston.
