No, I don't even feel safe going to the grocery store sometimes if it's late at night. I hate what this country has come to!

It depends on the area. Strangly, I felt safe in Manhatten NY, but when I visited a hospital in the Bronx, I felt less safe. I felt like I was going to die for sure in Newark NJ!
In my little burg here in Florida, I feel very safe.
I do feel that it is less safe in America than it used to be. There was a stat on the Drudge Report a few days ago that showed an alarming statistic...
In 2005 there were 16,900 murders and 92,836 rapes. And that was only the reported cases. I know deep in my heart that horrible things are happening to children behind closed doors that never gets reported.
Frankly.... I just view this as a sign of the end times.

i'll sleep outside. but i never had anything worth stealing when i lived in america. i'm a tad nervous in china. it all depends on what part of the city your in, in any country. france doesn't strike anyone as scary. NYC (not manhattan) or LA may make me a touch nervous in some parts even some smaller urban areas. San Fran doesn't worry, more likely get hit with a hacky sack than robbed. I imagine the tourist parts of france are like the tourist parts of anywhere. They really do keep these places extra clean and friendly cause of the money they bring in. But go a few blocks this way or that and you see the real side.

From a basically Machiavellian perspective, worry of the enemy is stable (for the ruling type, this is). as long because of the fact the President and Congress can seem to be doing some thing, then the persisted existence of al Quaeda is a 'stable element'. Is that what's particularly taking place? i do no longer understand. yet i've got no longer voted for Bush or his supporters for an extremely long term and that i'm no longer likely to start now. (I do purely no longer have confidence the guy or his friends.) 2 extra bits. The term "conflict on Terror" is much extra obscure than the "conflict on drugs" and as a effect is extra risky. "Terror" is satisfactorily obscure to conceal various of ills, so we are able to by no potential understand whilst the "conflict on Terror" would be over. That, and phrases like "place of beginning protection" placed me interior the suggestions of the e book "1984's" dystopia.

I don't feel safe because the Government is brainwashing us and allowing poisons in our food. Not only that, they are taking away the first AND second ammendment.
