So everyone says this already happened 100 years ago so it's no big deal. BUT- do you know anyone that is still alive from that day!? I don't- it must have been awful!

For as long as I can remember in television and movies, people from the southern part of the United States have been shown in a very negative light. They are portrayed as beer-guzzling, wife-beating, slow talking, imbred and ill educated people. Being from the south (Texas) I find it very degrading and insulting to see these over elaborated images and characters. I mean, my parents are not kin, I have never dated one of my relatives, I have all my teeth, wear shoes, do not have 8 dirty kids running around my trailer or know anyone by the name of Billy Bob or Emma Jean. Where did all of these myths about southern people originate?

how secure do you feel looking at these out of shape people and knowing they are the ones responsable for your safety while your there. it makes me not want to go into any public buildings.
go into any governmemt building, court, cityhall and look at the fat slob working behind the desk.

After you use the restroom you wash your hands.

You turn on the water (with your dirty hands). You wash them clean again then have to touch the dirty faucet to turn it off.

set and I felt so fortunate because it was the one one left and it was my size. Next thing I know this woman comes up to me and asked my what size they were, I told her the size and she happened to be the same size and tried to take them away from me. We got into a big grabbing match. I won. The next evening, we were invited to my husband's bosses house for dinner and who do you think his wife turned out to be? Should I tell my husband about it? Do you think he'll be fired over this? How should I handle this, any suggestions?

The same people who criticize people for being promiscous, are trying to create a law that stops people from trying to get married. Does this make any sense? Just because people get married doesn't mean for sure that they will only sleep with the person they marry, but I think it seems more likly that they won't sleep with as many people.
