It doesn't make sense. If the law of 'Karma' is true, unless, of course, karma takes more than one entire lifetime to come full circle, then how does it explain bad things happening to good people?

And what about the "axiom" of 'What comes around goes around?' Another way to say that is the law of sowing and reaping, coined by Jesus Christ. If it is true that we reap what we sow, then why, again, I ask you, do bad things happen to good people?

There may be strong opinions (or not) to relationships whereby the age gap is much larger but can these be justified for significantly smaller age differences?

And opinions for larger age gaps?

With thanks in advance.

My birthday is next week; I'll be 38 (presents to the left, nubile chubeete virgins for sacrifice on the right, no shoving, please *S*). I have not had a date since my girlfriend left me in 1991. I am afraid of approaching a woman that I might be attracted to because, more often than not, there is a guy there who has gotten there before me and can beat the living crap out of me. Any help out there for a guy so lonely?

As humans we have strong opinions about death, more precisely, murder. Some debate abortions over their Sunday meal of fresh spring lamb. Here is the question: Is it okay that we can kill any other animal other than humans and why? (Yes, I know, forget for a moment the endangered species list.)

I've heard that people will react more positively to hand addressed envelopes in blue ink than they will to envelopes in black ink (the same with a written letter, note, etc.). I'm just looking for more information to back that up.

always talk about themselves? They always start a sentence with 'I did so and so', 'I think so and so' or 'I went blah blah blah'. If you sit and listen to them they never ask your opinion or how you are or what you think - its all me me me.
I hate people like that - they are usually dull as f**k- comments please.

I am having a difficult time understanding one line from "The Class Struggles in France" :

"Such a revolution is only possible in the periods when both these factors, the modern productive forces and the bourgeois productive forms, come into collision with one another."

My sticking point lies in the phrase "bourgeois productive forms" which, of course, Marx doesn't care to define. A classmate suggested that he was referring to bourgeois political institutions (with modern productive forces being bourgeois economic institutions), but I am really unsure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
