I've heard that people will react more positively to hand addressed envelopes in blue ink than they will to envelopes in black ink (the same with a written letter, note, etc.). I'm just looking for more information to back that up.

If you're talking about ink, I prefer blue usually but it depends entirely on how neat it is or how the ink flows from the pen.

If you're taking about handwriting over printing, it depends on the situation. I'd prefer handwritted from an informal individual but printed from a company or professional relation.

I prefer blue ink to black. I don't know why- I just always have. I hate it when a form says black ink only. I always carry a blue pen. I had never heard of the blue ink being more positively received- that is interesting.
