I have always wondered why someone would inform their victim that they are about to be killed or why someone would make it known that there is a bomb only so the cops can come and diffuse it- Does that make any logical sense?

I need some opinions and strong viewpoints. You have to convince me of what you are saying:
" Themodern Japanese culture is so uncomplicated and simple. It has no nuances or finer points. I find the Japanese to be an emotion-less people who beleive in organizing themselvesin strict hierarchies. Their culture is homogeneous, and every single person who lives there is just Japanese; they do not beleive in any difference between one person and the next. Their religious identity is so strong that it holds them together as a single, cohesive whole. In fact, they have historically been rigid, stratified, and group-think sort of people. Perhaps it is the lack of individuality that makes the Japanese so successful."
Do you agree or not or partially agree/disagree.

I want to have over a million dollars to my name, live in a 4,000 sq ft home, be happily married with 2 kids and a beautiful wife, in a good neighborhood, maybe somewhere on the beach. I wanna have a GREAT job and be making tons of money.

If it doesn't work out this way, I at least want to be successful and feel great about myself my whole life.

And what does she mean? I used to be really deep, but I always found it really depressing. I normally put other people first, but I don't really have a lot of friends. I never know what to say, and I know I can be quite boring to be around, but I always have a positive edge to my personality and the way I think. Sometimes I look in the mirror and smile at myself cause I know it may be the only smile I will recieve that day, and also I look in there alot because I feel so ugly and fat, so I try and reassure myself that I look pretty.

OK this is a bit general but isn't meant to be rude or critical, so don't take offence girls =)

You look down any busy town centre and all the girls are wearing the same thing: Boot cut hipsters with massive belts, blouses and T-Shirts are at navel level, tiny cardigans (I honestly think someone was taking the mick there) with long sleeves, and carefuly straightened hair.

And, of course, this has always happened!

Now I know that boys follow fashions too, but not in quite the same way - or am I wrong?

Is there some sort of genetic, mental or social thing that makes women want to look like each other? And if there are men reading this, do you expect a girl to be dressed fashionably? Would you be upset, for example, if your girlfriend dressed strikingly different.

And, finaly, girls - do you dress for other women or for men? I've always thought the former, myself.

Why is it that some parents dont give a s**t when their kids are running the streets, but once the cops get a hold of them for committing crimes, violence, mischief or vandalism, the parents are right there ready to criticize police ?? Some parents are truly scum.

...I live in south Alabama. Everywhere in the south (Maybe its the same up north, I dont know) wherever theres a hospital, its always surrounded by a rundown, primarily african american neighborhood. (no racism intended) Why is this? I've always wondered ever since I was a young boy, why whenever we went to a hospital we always had to drive through a projects like area, or just really old, worn out houses with black children playing in the street while black men chill outside with friends. Is it because theres a hospital there, or is the hospital put there because of the area? Please answer maturely.

I work in retail and some of my collegues call customers "Sir". I refuse to call anyone Sir. I don't have a chip on my shoulder, but neither to I think that anyone is better or more deserving person that I am.
I also hate being called "Sir". I guess I'm just a relaxed person who considers everyone equal.
Do you have to call people "Sir" or "Maam" in your job? Do you choose to use these titles? Or are you on the recieving end? I'd love to hear some different opinions.
