I have always wondered why someone would inform their victim that they are about to be killed or why someone would make it known that there is a bomb only so the cops can come and diffuse it- Does that make any logical sense?

Yes, it makes sense, if you consider that they didnt REALLY want to use the bomb or kill someone, or whatever. If they wanted to do it they'd just go through with it. But the person who calls in the threat doesnt actually want to go through with it. They normally want something else. For example, attention, money, fame, etc.

People make bomb threats because-- well, I think it's because they want people to be afraid of them--and, well, bomb threats are a good way to do it, or they want people to know that they are capable of doing things. Sometimes its because they want to get out of class for a good reason, and it's really easy to make it look like anyone could've done it.

to me I am glad for the warning its like a dog barking if you do not stand down there could be trouble he verywell may bite if you do not take his warning, its a weighing warning concern unlike being sentenced to a prison term I believe these people can and may cause damage this is not like saying I am going to punch you if you make me mad its a warning signal there bombs think about it I wont my warning not that I agree to any of this but I do like the warning they are upset for some reason its human instinct acting again, do you kill the dog before he strikes, negotiate or stay out of the dog that lives in the next town that you do not know and stay out of his territory I am all for Peace keeping but when our solders are sent home in bags then ??? do you stay for more, run or kill the dog ??? just a question I would like an answer to.

Of course it makes sense. They do it to terrorize and disrupt. Simple as that.
