LOL! I live in Arizona, and its like any other place. We drive cars and dress like everyone else. The only thing that makes here different is the weather, its pretty much always hot. We are in the desert.

The people are pretty laid back and dress laid back. Someone said the sandal is the State shoe. Even in businesses the dress is usually business casual. Otherwise most people where jeans and teeshirts. The weather is mild year round except in higher elevations, so people tend to wear the same thing year round.
In Bisbee I did know people who were ranchers. Bisbee is only a few miles from the border so there is a lot of Mexican influence in the food. There was the tortilla, tamales and empanda lady and the burrito lady who came from Mexico to sell their food. At potlucks there were always Mexican dishes.
Bisbee also has a hippy population who think they are artist. They tend to barter for everything and are very friendly.
Phoenix and Tucson have a lot of people moving in from other States and are cosmopolitan. The people there are like people in other ciites.
There is a town named Guadalupe that is surrounded by Tempe, AZ (town next to Phx). Guadalupe is a Yaqui Indian community and they connect with Mexico also. On their school sign it states that they had events celebrating Yaqui and Mexican culture. I was trying to find a place off on Priest Drive and ended up being in Guadalupe. It thought I had crossed the Mexican border and was terrified. I tried to turn around on a side street and ended up in front of a stucco white church like on missions. I didn't know the community existed and it was like actually being in Mexico. Even the streets names were in Spanish.
The speed limit signs are in Metric between Tucson and Nogales, AZ since so many people come from Mexico to shop in the U.S. There is a really cute art community named Tubac between Tucson and Nogales. The art and household decorations tend to very southwestern in communities between Tucson and New Mexico.
Nothern, AZ is very Mormon and Indian.

Well lucky you, I live in Arizona, and I'm the same age as you :) So basically people in Phoenix are not always the friendliest. There are parts of arizona that just are HORRIBLE, but some areas are really pretty. Well, the trend right now in Arizona is pants, also at my school the trend is cowgirl/cowboy. During the summer the lowest temperature could be about 105 degrees. But right now, it just rained so its really nice, it's about 70. It never snows in Phoenix. I live in Phoenix but I'm moving to Prescott (about an hour north of Phoenix). Also, Arizona is starting to become overcrowded! Seriously, we have to move cuz we can't afford our house anymore. There is a HUGE illegal alien problem right now, and at every corner there is an illegal alien sitting there. Hope this helped. Thanks.

I stayed in AZ 6 weeks. I went to Sidona . Walt Disney went there and drew some of his cartoons, he stayed by a mountain and got his inspiration . The best thing for you other then visit AZ is to find books and all the information you can, it is the best way, you can read and see the pictures . also go to a travel agency or wild life park if possible . there are pamphlets and brochures you can have for free,,
