The media make a great deal about extreme cases of bizarre 'politically correct' decisions, which outrage and offend people.

But then, very serious issues are dismissed as 'political correctness'.

Is the idea to make racist and sexist people feel righteous?

we all have our opinions as they say 'if you stand for nothing you will fall for anything' but why is it when people try share their opinion many resort to name calling and bashing rather than talking and listening....just because someone thinks they are right and have all the answers doesn't mean they are....truth sometimes is relative

What if the South had won or forced a conditional peace. Would the C.S.A. had divided and weakend the Union to the point where we (U.S.A) could not have won WW1 and similarly been unable to stop Hitler? Could the C.S.A. have found empathy with the Nazis' racial supremacy? Would we all be under the Nazi heel to this day?

I'm starting to wonder. Here are the facts as I see them:

No Steve you're not:
- I wear a shirt and tie to work each day
- I drive a Honda Civic
- I have a Masters degree
- I do not like NASCAR
- All of my shirts have sleeves
- I've never said "Get R Done"
- I don't like country music and I only have about a half of a CDs worth of Lynyrd Skynyrd songs
- I don't think I can spell Lynyrd Skynyrd correctly
- I know that this question does not belong in the category 'Skin Conditions'

- I drink beer
- I like to sit around a bonfire once in a while
- I like to light off fireworks
- The last time I went camping and we were making fun of the upstate NY rednecks, my friends pointed out that my wearing a Metallica tshirt at the campground was kinda redneck itself.
- I think farts and burps are very funny
- I grew up in a mobile home

On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the most redneck, how redneck am I?

i want a male's opinion on this subject, but by all means anyone is welcome.
don't think that i'm trying to sound snobby or conceided, but please tell me why this keeps happening.
all my life, since childhood i've been told that i'm very good-looking. then i grew up into an attractive young lady. i always get lots of attention from men, no matter who they are: friends, classmates, men, guys, neibors, almost any straight male.

BUT, for some reason i attract only (please forgive me) but, very ugly people. i rarely, get noticed by guys that are my type.

please enlighten me, why does it keep happening?

I heard from a friend that you can sell one of your testicles for 75 grand, or both for 150,000. It is a proven fact that you only need one to reproduce... so would you do it? I made a prank call about this to one of my friends, and i found out something i didnt wanna know. i said "so, you wanna sell one to me for 75? or sell them both for 150?" and he goes "well the problem is i only have one" roflmao... good times... what would you do?

this **** is utterly ridiculous. 400+ years later, racism still exist. why? why? why?

today, i just read on yahoo news that a bus driver in louisiana made the black kids sit in the back, some with other kids on their laps. WHAT KINDA **** IS THAT?!!! and that fiasco called Hurricane Katrina, let's not get into that. what kinda **** is America smoking?!!!

i am a black man who recently served in the Marines. while i was fighting to defend america & it's citizens, people are still wrestling with racism!!! was this is what i was fighting for? it made me believe that some people have nothing else better to do! why don't these racists M.F.s pick up a gun & head to Iraq since they have nothing else better to do!!! it makes me angry to see that some **** ain't changed. yes, we've came a long way... but we've got a ways to go.
and btw, racism (= ignorance) has no color. if you'd join the service you'd understand better.

Damn! i'm glad i got my passport yesterday! **** this ****.

I have attention deficit disorder. ADD is a serious condition which makes my day to day routines necessary for me to have control over my household. I want to see if other people out there have suggestions for the disorganization, insecurity, and the like.
I want to know if anyone see's a therapist and if there are other things that can be done besides just the medicine....Thanks
