good Lola,
keep it that way,
we are not supposed to hate, and now that i am a mature adult, i always catch myself saying, "I DO NOT HATE THEM BUT......
And i actually wonder if i am being true,
so then, i guess the issue is define hate,

some people hate with obsession, anger rage, jealousy ect, and it is ugly and scarry.. or is the measure of hate just higher than most?

Not meaning to be technical,, but if you hate, what do you think.
(you meaning me you or anyone) DO you want to punish, harm destroy, or see pain on the person?
Is that hate?

Or if you just do not like anything about someone, detest them.. have an aversion to them...is that hate,?

i Thought i hated my mother much of my life, and i know i did not..
anyway, i dont think moral people like to admit they feel hate..
i do not want to hate anyone, and i can not think of anyone who i am obsessed with, or want to be,,
that is a great topic thanks for asking that

take care

It's a tough question, especially in an Internet BBS. Hate seems to overrun these things all the time.

All we can do is try not to hate as best we can. Based on some of the postings I see here, not too many people are trying very hard.

I try hard myself. Sometimes I slip - I'm way too human that way, I guess - but overall I think my approach has been the same as yours: just stay away from people if our personalities clash.

I've learned that there isn't much you can do to resolve such differences. The best solution is when both parties mutually agree to keep a respectful distance from each other. When I slip, it's because another person actually goes out of his/her way to harass me.

There is a down side to living this way, but I didn't plan it. It happened through trial and error with people who didn't get along with me.

You're lucky if you've never hated anyone in spite of what some people can do. I wish I was that way.

Take care,
Al Mintaka

You would have to be a really strong person. I can't use up all the fingers on one hand counting the number of people I hate, but I promise that if someone does anything to harm anyone I love, I hate that person, and there are at least a couple of people on my list today. To not hate anyone at all is a Utopian concept to me, and I commend anyone who can manage through an entire lifespan without doing it. I'd also like to live in that person's community with that person's circle of friends :)

I don't think so,not if you were put in the right circumstances. Imagine some one torturing and killing a loved one of yours.

You must learn to accept them, though. But you really must clarify with them if they are getting overboard.
