Why are people so rigid and judgmental on here?

Question

there seems to be two views and nothing more either you are conservative or liberal, christian or atheist or just plain angry.....if you don't get to know those who are different you are limiting yourself and not seeing all there is in this world

Oh, and I suppose you're not being rigid and judgmental about being rigid and judgmental. But I am not passing judgment on you for your ignorance. I'm just trying to save you! You obviously don't realize that by disagreeing with the God of Everlasting Love, you will have to sit forever in a pot of boiling oil while demons with feces for fingers pluck out your teeth and eyes. So you make out as though I were the one who is rigid and judgmental, huh? You'll see! But by then it will be too late for you.

I agree. Nothing is as black and white as people make it appear on here. I think a lot of the answers are made to rile up the person asking them. Likewise some of the questions are meant to rile up the people who are going to answer them. Tolerance doesn't seem to be practiced here. Maybe that says a lot about society.

We, (you and i, and the good guys) In our attempt to defend others who are picked on, and scold those who get angry and insultive, have to hold tight to the views that we should not judge, and we also accept people even if their belief system, is different, and most important i know myself i need to be careful, and think thru my anger, disbelief, irritations, frustrations, with those i dont understand , because i could become one of them...
in principle, in other words,
"NOT TO BECOME THE PERSON I HATE", or think i hate,

it is a close line, and you are right, we limit ourselves to what is comfortable, and get complacent,,
and if we dont reach out ,,to the world we do omiss out..

keep the faith, and dont change who you are, you have a lot to offer.

I agree, that we need to understand each other. But I also think there is nothing wrong with having made up your own mind on a subject.. having your own opinion. If we have not made up our own mind, (based upon what we currently know) what is there to discuss? I do agree we need to be open, willing to look and learn something new.. But it should not be offensive to disagee that is what makes us different and what creates change... that is what drives us.

Because this is America, and with Bush being in office, it has become a battle between the right and the left. Pretty sad state of affairs, if you ask me!

Because the rigid judgmental people kept reporting bullcrap violations, and have made most of the normal people afraid to be on here.

yah, i agree, and some *People* actually said dat it's 'RUDE' to bring a 10-month old baby to the restaurants!
So does it mean pple with babies or toddlers aren't allow to eat at restaurants with the babies?
At the movies, yes i do agree that they shouldn't bring their babies and/or toddlers... but restaurants???????
