Correctly said. This is the great Vedic culture, the Hindu culture, that made the civilization what it was. The world's first or only urban civilization, with all the things, rules & all framed & written in the scripts (religious books- now called). Everything went on the right track, as framed by the God itself ( as the mythology says). People just followed it. People here are born intelligent, this is self proven by the strength of Indians ( 35%) Indians alone in NASA & other US brain agencies. Now a days the religion is kept aside due to mockery of a secular state being extra partiall to other religions (confined to <18%) in the name of being impartial & secular. 80% Hindus & their religion is disregarded that too by our own people just to get vote & power of the parliament. This is our hard luck that foolish things like reservations hamper the growth of country. which was once World Leader.

I hate to say (considering how many intelligent, great Hindus I've met here on Yahoo Answers...), but I think it's because it costs less to pay an Indian than it costs to pay an American or European. Great thinkers are everywhere. Every country has their own, and no country is absent of intellect. I think the standard of living plays a big part in where people look for help.
My father lost his job as an engineer, because they decided to hire out to Indian engineers. I'm not bitter about it, don't get me wrong. Just stating my opinion, backed up by facts.
Added: From what I've heard, India does have a great civilization (American spelling). I would love to visit the Taj Mahal someday...

It can be in one way its cilvilisation rich ancient history. We do have several other things also which the world is getting from us. One thing is that the developed countries discovering new drugs by several methodes but just a small plant juice is doing the same work here in our villages. We do have well ducumented these medicines in Vedas. Similarly we worship the nine planets (of course it is eight by scientists) from time immemorial when there were no telescopes and no space stations. Mention of several solar systems and galaxies is there in the sacred book "Geeta". People are exercising to much longer time to keep themselves fit, which can be done by simple yogic contours for few minutes every day and getting the benifit of both physical and mental helth. Diseases can also be cured by performing specific yogic contours. Theres a lot more .........................

The Egyptian civilization lasted over 2000 years. It all started with the first Dynasty in ca 2920 BC and lasted till the thirtieth Dynasty which ended ca 330BC. 2. For those causes, i think that Egypt became the marvelous civilization in the heritage of the international. All those civilizations that got here after it did not very last as lengthy and, through and tremendous, basically equipped upon Egyptian options and strategies.

You dont look to India for wisdom. India has had gurus , philosophers and scholars in ancient times & there are many manuscripts , teachings from that period which are relevant even today. These scripts are enlightening & contain words of wisdom for all.

I think India always had strong roots and good basics. It's only after liberalisation of the economy that the world has recognised it
