I am an atheist and very proud of it.
I have just watched a 2 min silence on UK TV held in respect of the dead caused by the underground bombings one year ago!
Shortly before this there was a news item ref' bullying in schools against young Muslim girls because they were wearing the customery Hijab outfit!
Wearing it not because they were 'forced' to but because they wanted to!
While I am not trying to place all the worlds problems just down to religious differences , I certainly feel that many are just down to that!
As an old far* I really hate to see kids wearing base ball hats the wrong way around, but I dont bully them about it, (I would most likely get 'filled in' if I did)
If your kids were being bullied at school for wearing their caps the wrong way around what would you do about it??
Religion to my mind is at least 80% of the problem here, the rest is down to oil!
Lets 'get rid' of all this religious crap!! Dont you agree??

It would help if you are/were once a choir member!
I am the president of my school choir. The choir is in the dumps right now because we don't sing very well and our conductor scolds us a lot. As a result, a lot of the members felt that coming to practices is becoming a burden to them and they are unhappy. Their disciplin also slackens because they become bored of singing. I've tried to pep talk the members but it wasn't very effective. Though I am their leader, I am not perfect, so I need advices... What other ways are there for me to motivate them and make choir more fun and interesting for them?

Wouldnt it be much better if we were to lift the term good morning from a statement to a question? At the moment it seems be thrown for an echo rather than a genuine inquiry of well being. Try it?

I know girls check guys out and try to guess what his size is downtown. Maybe by how he walks or the shape of certain body parts. So what else do you look for or at, when playfully trying to guess what a guy is packing.

I'm asking because the girls were talking about this the other night and it had sparked my curiosity.

I've read many things and another question here inspired me to ask this just out of curiosity. Isn't it truly a personal choice just gorged out of proportion by morally correct fanatics with a religious basis?
Excuse me, but I don't want any super-religious-extremists or gothic teenagers answering this, please. I just want a social point of view.
