REALITY, WOW WHAT A CONCEPT !

Have you ever pondered on that statement? I wondered what the actual definition of reality was so I went to Websters. Acording to Webesters the definition is as follows;
A state or quality of being real, actuality, fact and truth.
After reading this and thinking to myself, "The very definition of reality is totally dependant on the perception of ones own experience. So after shairing an experence, what you feel to be a truth or reality may well be totally different from mine.

I would carry on with this.... but now Im interested in your thoughts. How does this work between friends when tring to understand a common experience? How about a Court of Law?
How between people of different faiths....or color....or countrys.

Well, what do you think?

A and B are boyfriend/girlfriend who live in seperate countries. C is B´s friend. A does not know C.

A is going to visit B. B knows that C is looking to buy a widget. B asks A to buy a widget for C since widgets in A´s country ($500) are significantly cheaper than widgets in C´s country ($1000). C will reimburse A upon arrival for the cost of the widget.

A agrees to help.

A is given C´s email address. Through email correspondance, A is able to determine exactly what type of widget C wants.

A purchases the widget for C.

Meanwhile, B loses her widget.

What is the right thing to do?

1) A should give the widget to C. After all, even though he doesn´t really know C, A made a promise to buy the widget for C. It is unfortunate that B lost her widget, but A´s obligation is to C.

2) A should give the widget to B. After all, he doesn´t really know C, and B is his girlfriend. If B has to buy another widget, it will cost twice as much as A paid. A´s obligation is to B.

I am a white Briton. I have little time for political correctness, and I am very much in favour of multiculturalism in the UK. I feel that people of diverse ethnic origins and/or religions should be able to live as they wish, subject to a few ground rules.

What do the people of diverse ethnicities feel about my attitude. For example, about 70% of the food I cook for myself and my wife is of Indian/Pakistani origin ( I prepare and cook it myself, using herbs and spices, not Pataks jars. I do not use Halal meat, as it is not a religious requirement for me, but i support the right to Halal for devotees of Allah, or Kosher for the Jews.)

Do you feel I am poaching on, or stealing, your heritage? I feel we should all muck in together, and take bits from each others cultures without insult.

I will be very interested in your comments.

If all of our infrastructure (homes, roads, food supply chain) were taken away, would human beings be able to survive in every geography? If not, what geographies would they concentrate in? If the loss of our infrastructure occurred overnight, what percentage of the human poplulation would be lost?

Someone asked about ... if anyone would want to spend time with him for his 40th birthday oming up soon- he sort of made an open invitation for people to join him for his birthday. I amy have been a bit insentive, in my answer. Now I am feeling so remorseful, waht do you think I should do?
One of the reasons, that I'm feeling this remorse is that I'm having a birthday the first week of August- and I'm going to be alone too. I guess I was trying to compensate my inadequacies by "burning" or "slamming" another human being. Why am I so evil and heartless?

This is a follow up to the question of the question should the guy be called a paedophile?

Well lets say the guy is married or some crap like that and he's a hottie or a teen idol and couple of girls one day find a way to drug him or use a weapon or some crap. After it happens, should the guy keep his mouth shut and let the girls go so save himself from humiliation. Or should he try and send their *** to court, jail, or juvinille prison or hall.

What do you think?
