what is the most stupidest or dumbest thing youve ever done in front of a lot of people or some one you like?

My first year in college I was a member of a political party and as such was approached by the White House staff to assist in making arrangements for a presidential visit to the city that I lived in. It was so cool - we got to stay in the local Hilton for two weeks and everything was free - whatever we wanted or needed. Plus we got to meet some of the neatest people ever - lead personnel, security people, etc. Anyway the morning before the afternoon that the president was to arrive I broke one of my fingernails and it looked horrible. I was supposed to be in the receiving line at the airport when the president came off the plane and I sure didn't want to shake hands with him with that ugly broken nail sticking out there so I got a fake nail and glued it on. Wouldn't you know it just as we were lined up and waiting, the glue let go and off popped the nail. The only thing I could do was take a small piece of the gum I had in my mouth to try to hold it on. Sure enough, when the president shook my hand the nail came off. Of course he looked to see what I'd left in his hand which caused two security officers to immediately look as well. When they saw what it was and the blushing look of horror on my face they just all started laughing. The president reached out and gave me a hug and said he appreciated my wanting to look my best. Three months later I had the opportunity to see him again at a party in another city. Again I was in the receiving line. This time when he got to me he took my hand and looked at my nails which were now all nicely manicured and polished. He looked up at me, smiled and said, "Its so nice to see you again". I wanted to die. SInce then I have always admired the man regardless of his politics. His name.....Gerald Ford.

The Public

I had once an occasion to address a public meeting of elections. The candidate I knew but not closely enough and his public image was not bad.
Innocent at large that I was I did not know much about his undergroud life,though I sometimes wondered how this nobody of the other day has risie so high but consoled myself that it must be by dint of his ceaseless efforts.
At his request as I was rather respected in the locality I spoke a few words for him. I had an uneasy feeling that the public was indulgently smiling at me and like a fool I thought that they approved my speech.

After the meeting my neighbour came to my house and gave me enough evidence about the other side of the candidate. He told me that they all were smiling at me for my innocence.He advised me to be more circumspect in future.

Private
I had been to some town. I met my neighbour who had come there for some work. Since I was returning the same day and he was likely to be delayed more he asked me will I please tell this to his family members so they need not worry and he need not phone them. I promised and I plumb forgot the matter on my return in the exigencies of my work. When I remembered I felt guilty and rushed to the family and blurted the message Everybody from the family started laughing hilariously. In fact , I was telling to the neighbourer who has since returned. My failure to communicate the message has put him and the family members to some worry but they all knew my forgetful nature and had taken immediately the necessary st eps to know the position. I never felt so much embarassed in my life.

ha ha, basically 0.5 an hour interior the previous. I were out contained interior the motorized vehicle, were given the following abode, positioned the motorized vehicle contained interior the storage then were given the following contained interior the abode. I went to charm to p.c. up the motorized vehicle keys, abode key and storage key on the hook yet i did now no longer have the storage key in any of my wallet. I hunted in my bag - NO. So, I went decrease again to the storage. the motorized vehicle replaced into contained interior the storage yet I hadn't even close the storage up-and-over door so the major replaced into although contained interior the lock. I had basically walked away and left it open. They do say previous age does no longer come itself.
