I hate the word hottie, but that aside I like nicknames from my husband only. any random guy saying "hey baby" isnt ok. Im not your baby.

It depends on the context in which it is used and the relationship that you have with the girl. Say, you are talking to a woman you work with, then maybe not; that is grounds for sexual harassment. If you are talking to your girlfriend/wife, it can be totally flattering and might get you some brownie points, if you know what I mean.

I think maybe younger women like that sort of attention and don't mind the names. More mature women tend to think it's stupid. And this - from an old boyfriend - said he used to call women "Babe" when he couldn't remember their names.

I tend not to like generic nicknames. Makes me wonder if the person forgot my name. I have no problem with the nickname my husband calls me....its personal and special between us.

Some consider it insulting. Like you are refering to them as an object instead of calling them by their name. I love it though. **Dirty Dream Doll**

Don't call them "babe", "doll", or "hottie"; chicks hate that.

I very much dislike it, i allow my bf to call me baby, but in an indearing way not in a "now massage my feet" way.... I especially dislike being called "HONEY" by men who are only slightly older than me. I know no one can make you feel something, but it makes me feel inferior

Unless it's my husband I hate it...it's sexist and offensive. It's also lazy on the part of the guy who won't make the effort to learn and use my NAME.

Some do some dont. "Feminist" chicks get offended but girls who aren't so uptight either say it doesn't bother them or just say nah call me something else.
Now all this to me relates to a guy saying this to his girlfriend. Guys saying it to girls they don't know offends me.
