Here is the thing, my gf and I cannot have sex until married. I asked if she was a vrigin. She admitted that she wasn't a virgin but told me she wasn't "like that". Eventually after many months I finally got her to tell me...she was date raped. She says after a month of dating this guy sat on top of her and raped her. She told him no, tried to push him off and didn't take her clothes off. That was her first time. She never went to the police (statistically less than 16% of women do). Says she never saw him again. She admits she liked him and was attracted to him but told him no and tried to push him off.

I suspected this before she ever told me because I sat on top of her once when we first started dating and the way she reacted gave me that feeling in my gut that she had been raped years ago.

Thing is she was raised in a religious home and the only reason her parents found out about it was because they fould some papers for a blood test in her room.

...and I'm not yet financially independent so that I could move out or visit a psychiatrist. My parents are convinced that whatever I'm doing (social service) is wrong, that 10 years later I'll be saying "Oh my parents were so right, why didn't I listen to them", that I have no heart, personality or my own wishes, and am being brainwashed by my boyfriend. And the worst thing is that, externally they are influential, which means that there is no one else I can speak to about my daily mental tortures. What should I do?

i personally don't think that it is true that people have "sex addiction(s)." i think that eventually we may get to the point of putting it out of our heads that anything that is "sexual" (even dancing and mention of bodily parts) is bad because that's the puritan way. the puritans refused to allow their young adult children to dance, and the adults found it disgusting too!

do you believe that sex is TRULY addictive to some people, and if yes, why, what proof can you cite? is there REALLY anything wrong with adults that like to have sex 2-3 times a day? reproduction is what's happening all over the world, all the time. reproduction needs sex. sex and eating are the two major reasons for a massive release of dopamine, the pleasure neurotransmitter, in the brain.

if sex were not governed by a thought that something is "naughty" or pleasurably "dirty" about it, do you think that there'd be so much crude cybersex talks to you by a stranger on your instant messenger?

Some people aren't poor by choice. Unexpected situations in life can cause a person or a family to poverty.

Lately I have been feeling so extremely over whelmed with the future. I'm 14 so I know I have a while to decide what I want to do career wise. But, do I actually have plenty of time to decide? I used to think that I wanted to go into photography or graphic design but I'm now realizing I suck at it. I have no remarkable talents, theres nothing special or unique that I can do. Everyone else seems to have a great talent. I'm mean, not good with people, can't sing, and can't draw. I've always been extremely confident (overly confident) in myself. But, lately I feel like everyone is just so much better then me. And, that I'm just taking up space in the world. I don't even know what I'm actually asking. I think I'm more of venting. But, have any of you felt so talentless and over whelmed with the future at 14? Thanks in advance.

Sometimes i hear people saying that couple should have enough things in common and sometimes i hear that two people of different nature can and do live happy as a couple. What is your opinion on this. Is there anything like this or it does not matter as long as couple are attracted to each other.

and that behind all of their racist remarks, there is just fear, or maybe anger? At times, i really want to give them a piece of my mind (and i usually do), but not until now did i ever realize that maybe there's something happening in their lives that bring them great pain. (or maybe their are just stupid, i don't know) Noone is born racist.

Is it a disorder when someone puts theirself in bad situations in order for others to feel sorry for her? Or even lie about things sometimes to get people to feel sorry for her? She also then makes me feel guilty because she is in a bad situation that she brought on herself. And I am so sick of hearing everyone say 'poor ---.' Also, very sick of her whining about doing something that she did not have to do in the first place-she just did it to make others think she is such a good person.

This is a close relative and it is really irritating. It seems like I am the only one that can see through it.

She also has a ton of health problems but won't go to a doctor and wont quit smoking, then whines constantly about how bad she feels.

Is this some kind of disorder? I can't stand it when people won't help themselves and just sit around and whine. Or am I just being mean?
