I have noticed that children never give up and many adults do. Not personally. Just observation.

A child has such a tiny ego..........Questions flow like a fresh spring.
An adult has a large ego......Questions then become difficult to ask in fear of hurting the ego.
An ego tells an adult I know so much, then the questions stop.

If a human could shed some of the ego, questions would start to come to the surface and a fresh spring would open and once again flow.

Questions concerning man and his environment would appear.
Questions concerning life would appear.
Questions pertaining to mans relationship with his Creator would appear.

When "faith" develops in man, the answers to these questions will be given, if the ego doesn't get in the way.
When "Faith" dawns in man it opens the door for "Wisdom", to develop. When "Wisdom" dawns in man, contentment enters mans heart.

We must become as small children and the questions will start flowing again. Narrow mindedness is such a sad state in man today.

May God allow us all to be like little children once again...........

Well because as children we are nïave and have growing minds that crave knowledge. As adults we have been taught to fit into society and have no problems. We stop questioning authority and many other things and just accept the world that we live in. Me thopugh I'm 15 and I hope to never stop asking questions.

I totally understand what you are talking about. I guess kids just ask alot of questions because they are just so curious about what goes on in the world and they want to know the reason why things are. (If that makes any sense.) And I think as adults, they quit asking because once you get to a certain age you should get a pretty good idea about things and they don't want to seem dumb. As for me, I ask all kinds of questions... even the dumb questions that are just simple common sense... lol.... the common sense ones are more complex. That was a good question!

I think many people become fixed in there thinking. It becomes hard to adjust to change and the way you see life, I know this from first hand experience. Many people over time get emotional scars that prevent them for whatever reason to keep seeking new ideas and asking questions. I have often found that the people who don't accept themselves fully as a person are the ones who stop asking questions.

We learn boundaries and we're shaped by society's norms. As a child, you don't know that not everyone asks a lot of questions.

I would also think that once you reach the concrete phase is development, you realize the world around you.

For those who have stopped, perhaps it is because of some of these reasons:

-They are just not interested in knowing the answer
-Too exhausted to care/find out more
-They think they all ready know the answer
-Have other things to worry about (bills, etc.)
-Don't know who to ask these questions to

im an adult, and i ask all the time. maybe its because as adults, we dont want anyone to know that we dont know it all. all that does is make us look like idiots, but if we dont ask, maybe we are.
