Im a massive fan of Louise L hay, I have read many of her primary books and has helped me in abundant ways, but!!! Sometimes i feel she cannot be perfect in everything she says, I believe everyones life life experience is different, and we cannot always get what we want, no matter how many times we affirm it in present tense, or learning to love ourselves, it is purely based on circumstance.

Does anybody have an opinions on her, positive or negative? I feel other peoples opinion is just as valid as hers!

this fear transfers or spreads in such a way that without separate conditioning he becomes afraid of many animals. If you take any one of these objects producing fear and uncondition, will fear of the other objects in the series disappear at the same time? That is, will the unconditioning spread without further training to other stimuli?"
Furthermore,
This case made it possible for the experiment to continue where Dr. Watson had left off. The first problem was that of "unconditioning" a fear response to an animal, and the second, that of determining whether unconditioning to one stimulus spreads without further training to other stimuli.

Does anyone know what this means? what does unconditioing and direct conditioning and stimuli mean?

I've heard people say "dreams are meaningless" and that very well may be true but all art is useless too, art's not doing anything for you, but it provokes feelings in people so people like it, well dreams do the same thing.
Dreams give you the opportunity to enter your own fantasy world and do whatever you want, why would you NOT want to take advantage of that? People just don't seem to care and don't mind the fact that they are wasting 1/3 of their life.
Dreams do actually have a use too, they give you insights into yourself and help you solve problems and therapists use them to help people sometimes. Now, with all that added up, why don't people care about dreams, it seems asinine.

I am 15 and have gained 10 pounds in the past 4 months from all of this excessive eating. I have some tough stuff going on in my life right now so that could be what is triggering it.... Alright, where I work I've had two guys that have a bachelor degree in psychology ask me out. Anyone know why? If you're a guy who is into psychology, please let me know the type of girls you are interested in. Just curious. Also, if I decide to date this guy, will he be more apt to understand my confusing, somewhat messed up life? Because my life is kind of crazy right now.

How do I find what the (for the sake of argument) reaction time of the 60th percentile is? A grad student in my lab told me to do a frequency dist., but I think that gives me cumul. percentage--the actual obtained value. Do I do a frequency dist., and select the percentiles in statistics?

She is famous for her book 'A woman in Her Own Right' written a good while ago. This new book answers loads of questions both relevant to women and any 'voiceless' group. It talks about the underlying hierarchy which pervades everything and how we see things in a 'monocular' rather than a 'binocular' way. Much of what she writes in this book is a novel way of looking at things and will provide answers to anyone feeling that life doesn't make sense. Anyone who has read this book please let me know what you thought of it and what it did for you. I am only halfway throught by the way so don't think you have to have read it all to answer!

It seems to me that it's better to be a pessimist than an optimist because an optimist is always disappointed while a pessimist who expects the worst always get pleasant surprises when the worst doesn't happen. Am I wrong? Also, which one is more realistic?

I could see myself and my best girlfriend as we were walking across a bridge together. The bridge crossed a stream or brook and there were trees everywhere like a forest. Both myself and my girlfriend were children and we were wearing dresses, patent leather shoes and bobby socks. That's it. Any ideas?
