Life is filled with many obstacles. it teaches you to crawl before you walk so it can beat you down and keep beating you down...
then hell itself turns into the twilight zone.
I was eating at a knock-off chinese food restraunt
one afternoon when i had the most uncomfortable
feeling in the air like i was being watched. i was thinking
about a money scheme while i was talking to my mom
and the impulse to tell her what i was thinking kept forcing
me to just blurt it it out. i resisted telling my mom about
what i had in mind for myself a lady sitting in another table
across me stares at me with dark-violating eyes.naturally
i played it off and continued eating while realizing what was
going on around me. i stare back at her like i just realized what
she was doing and goes back to eating. while i continue
eating a man from the table across the female and her spouse
is a man who's doing the exact thing. mom blows it off carelessly
and continues talking. it seemed triggered.

I am the thinnest I have ever been in my whole life. I recently lost about 30 pounds and I should feel amazing, but every time I look in the mirror I still see myself 30, maybe even 50 pounds heavier. I have never ever had any self confidence, and I am completely sick of it. I should love myself but I can't because I have spent 21 years hating myself and the way I look. How do I feel comfortable in my own skin?

My senior research paper was due friday. I didn't do it so I was absent. I didn't do it until last night until 2 am when I fell asleep. Today, I continued on it than my little brother (he is 5) came into my room playing with a whistle. I told him to "please leave my room, baby, I am working on an important project." He kept on whistling and not listening to me. Then he kept on bugging me and tagging on me and coming on my bed. He asked for gum this and that. I got more and more mad when I gave him a little push to go. He left my door open. I yelled "Shut the door" he came rushing back into my room, bugging and bugging me more. Than I went off. I started screaming at him and calling my mom as loud as I could. He started crying. On top of that, my computer shut down just as this was going on and I hadn't saved my work so it deleted everything. It wasn't my brother's fault, it was mine. I had got so mad, I had slammed on my laptop. My brother got so scared. I started cursing and

I know a lot of people ask this, but I just really want to know. I'm 13 and have a really low self esteem/confidence. (Are they the same?) I've got 4 sibs, all of which are beautiful and talented. I really feel like I missed something in the gene pool espically when I'm around my little sister. She's only 10 but she's pretty, popular, smart, athletic and semi musical. Whenever I'm around her I feel really bad about myself. It also doesn't help that she makes fun of me a lot and when I get back at her, I get in trouble. My older sibs are really cool and I like them a lot, but the age span between us is 6, 12, and 15 years, so I don't see or connect with them a lot.
I've really tried gaining confidence on my own, believing in myself and stuff, but whenever I try it, it only works for about a day or so, then I break down and cry for a long time. I really have bad feelings about myself, and I know I'm not my sibs, but I can't help but compare myself to them. Please don't just say get help

I have always been excellent at sarcasm because it shows what a clever & witty person I am who is quick to see the hypocrisy in life.
Recently though, I have become disillusioned with it, because it is not productive, and I think it drives people away, especially women.

I have an assignment to do for my clinical psychology module. It is only a 2000 word essy but there is a lot to cover. I have two essay plans in mind but do not know which one to go for?

The essay title is "Discuss the view that for the treatment of most mental disorders, psychological approaches are more effective than the use of medication".

Essay plan 1

Intro
Depression - what is depression, discussion of drug treatments, discussion of CBT, evaluation comparing CBT with drug treatments.
Schizophrenia - what is schizophrenia, discussion of drug treatments, discussion of a psychological intervention (haven't decided which one yet), evaluation comparing psychogical treatment with drug treatment.
Personality disorders - what are personality disorders, discussion of drug treatments, discussion of objective relations therapies
Conclusion

Although I like this plan I feel there will be too much to cover with a 2000 word limit.

TBC...

My Professor gave us some advice the other day.
Did you know give or take a few hours on a general day you use

8 hrs = sleep
8 hrs = work
2 hrs = eat (breakfast, lunch, dinner, eat in or out)
2 hrs = groom
2 hrs = travel
only 2 hrs = you

Therefore, in 75 years you would've used up

25yrs on sleep
25yrs at work
18 yrs w/other essentials and
only 6 1/4 hrs on you.

So it's important to do something you are passionate about when it comes to your work cause then you can steal back 25 years for YOU.

Just a little insight and 2 cents.

he has hurt me really bad I was at the peak of falling in love for the first time and all of a sudden he backed off.. I want him soo bad but he has said many hurtful things and acted like he doesn't care about me. I feel like he and I are the only on the world and I have no other choice but him. I don't want to be the girl who goes around from one guy to the other. We known eachother for 4-5 months become really close friends. I liked everything about him good and bad. I can't stop thinking about him and feeling so hurt.. I was at work and all of a sudden tears were falling and I just couldn't stop while was chating with someone and laughing..

Hello all, I feel very strongly about ID cards, but I won't say whether I'm in favour or not. Basically I want to gage what the common reaction to them is? Do you care about the issue of ID cards? Are you well informed about ID cards? And, most of all, are you for or against. Would love as much feedback as possible!
