Okay so I guess my whole school was in this audiotorium to watch a musical of the wizard of oz and the guy i like, we'll call him chris, walks into the room and sees me but sits two seats to the left of the row in front of me and i try to kick his chair from the back to get his attention but i cant reach, what does it mean?

my other dream of him before this was that we were in the library and he smiled at me and asked me a question and i answered him and smiled and laughed and we both smiled and then he walked away but then kept looking at me

I have realised that I am harbouring a lot of resentment and I would really like to move on but I don't know how. I have a memory like an elephant and remember every wrong doing that everyone has ever done. It is driving me crazy now. How do I just get over it?

they say that men think about it every 45 seconds. if i do have a dream though it's always my girl i can't seem to dream about anyone else. is this true for anyone else or is everyone just thinking about whomever they want to think about. the dreams are very infrequent, like maybe once every few months or so.

I will share with you "What Buddhists believe
concerning the God-concept."

People from Judeo-Christian backgrounds especially have asked often if Buddhists
believe in "God". This depends on what is meant by the word "God", for there is a diversity of opinions in the Judeo-Christian world about who or what God is !!

If by the word "God" we refer to the principle of love and compassion, then yes, Buddhists do actually accept those principles. Love and compassion are the essential core of The Buddha's Teachings. Many similarities exist between The Buddhas" Teachings (from 2,500 years ago), and Jesus' Teachings (from 2,000
years ago) in this regard.
If we take "God" to refer to one who has infinate love, and wisdom and who is free of vengeance and partiality, then yes, actually
Buddhists do accept this principle. Love, wisdom, patience, forgiveness and imparitality are qualities of ALL of the Buddhas.
If "God" is used to refer to a creator, then Buddhists have a different, more logical view.
Their view is not based on blind faith.
From a Buddhists logical view, there was no beginning to the continuities of physical matter and consciousness. Since many logical difficulties arise if the existence of a creator is
posited, Buddhists propose a logical alternative.
Buddhists do believe that our mind, was "not" created by another being or by
God, because consciousness cannot be created out of nothing. Furthermore, why would a God create us? Surely there is No logical reasoning to create suffering or even to create beings who have the potential to degenerate from perfection into sufferings. "Buddhists believe that if the cause(God) is perfect, its result(its creation) should also be perfect and without suffering; so the creation of a perfect God should be perfect. If created beings have the potential to degenerate, then they are not
perfect." Reason and Logic are Necessary!
Buddhists do not accept the ideas of original sin, or of an eternal damnation. Nor is a blind faith sufficient alone to attain Peace. Buddhists
live they're life based on logic alone.
But it Must be emphasized, however, that Buddhists see the plurality of religious beliefs
and practices as beneficial. Since people do not think in the same way, a diversity of beliefs enables a person to select a system that helps him or her live a more wholesome, better life.
Thus Buddhists emphasize the importance of Patience toward all human beings and the necessity of religious tolerance.
Also, many who do not have or practice any religiousity, but demonstrate many good morals and ethics which they live by with a clear conscious, are respected, and shown patience and tolerance by all Buddhists.

I hope this gave you and others out in Yahoo Land, a clear understanding on Who & What God is, from a Buddhists viewpoint.

Happy Holidays to you and to everyone out there.

I grew up in the hood and now that I am an adult I realize those people are insane. For instance, they equate bullying with courage. It is admirable in the hood to hurt people weaker than you. They also think having sex is only good if you do it with many people even those you are not attracted to. They frown upon kissing also. I see that this stuff is bad but how do I strengthen my resolve to avoid these ghetto pitfalls.

If someone asks you a question but you are a shy person and respond quietly, why do they start smiling at you? Are they making fun of you but just not saying anything?

This has happened to me a lot lately, so I'm just wondering why people get this huge grin on their face once I start talking (and I'm too shy/self-conscious to ask them directly).

people who become depressed usually can't face the reality of agreeing to be greedy, and stuck into a rat race that they never have liked...if people could except that depression was a feeling of being tired of holding up the bs life they are told to live, would we find that together we would not be depressed if the system crashed...... mabey the feeling of stretching human procreation ability thrue technoligy, has just stretched our extinction...of civilization... if we cant live in the wild...we can't live in harmony

I have a problem because I've been told by everyone around me that my "standards" are too high. I think this is somewhat true in my relationships, with people I associate with I've always held certain people to certain standards. As of late i'm finding myself more and more frustrated and dissapointed in people around me. I can't help it that I've always had high standards for myself and others around me. Is it wrong? Should I lower my standards? I don't feel that I should have to. My standards I think are not too hgh, I mostly just want what i think is best for people. Apparently they don't agree. As of right now since i have a hard time hiding my dissapproval most of my relationships with peope are pretty strained. I have no idea what I could do to some how compromise with peolpe. I know people are human and they make mistakes but that doesn't mean you have to be stupid about it. ::sigh:: I don't know what to do if anyone has any suggestions I am more than welcome to hearing them.

" .. i am a 40 years old Muslim Egyptian .."

Does it make you feel comfortable !!?
...

I mean its really educating to watch all that hatred coming out from those repliers to any of the questions that takes in consideration any of the problems that needs discussions!

Questions are very polite!

And people really need to be enlightened of why or how come an old strong beautiful and charming country like Egypt is having the most lazy big mouths!

Its funny to get an answer like that show nothing but frustration and incapability of not even realizing but at least analyzing!

But I guess its how they bring children at home in Egypt that teaches them to just yell back instead of trying to better communicate the matters!

Its typically classic, funny and pathetic!
