There's this guy that had attempted to jump off the golden gate bridge 2 times already, but was saved by the police. he tries to jump for the third time. should he be saved, or let him jump and die? What's your opinion?

did you know that every day, about 6 people jump off the bridge to suicide? this is all recorded with cameras attached to the bridge. unbelieveble isn't it?

my opinion: i say, save him, but bring him to a shrink or counselor. since he insists on jumping from the golden gate bridge after being saved 2 times, he might be calling for help or attention. if we just let him jump, this will most likely cause traffic when the poilce come, and more news about the incident, and wouldn't the resue people have to get into the water to find his body? i don't think they will leave his body in the water if they know that he jumped. it's too troublesome.

I'm intrested on the accuracy of the Macdonald Triad. Basically, how many people who's early childhood personalities consited of the three following traits(copied from Wikipedia):

Firestarting--invariably just for the thrill of destroying things.

Cruelty to animals--Many children can be cruel to animals, such as pulling the legs off of spiders, but future serial killers often kill larger animals, like dogs and cats, and frequently for their solitary enjoyment rather than to impress peers.

Bedwetting--beyond the age when children normally grow out of such behaviour.

Can anyone direct me to a website, possibly on psychiatric study about how many people like this actually become killers, not just serial.

i'm in 8th grade, and for music, i'm in this class called Concert Band. I was new, so i had no idea that when i signed up for Concert Band, i would be playing with sixth graders and seventh graders that had only just started playing their instruments. There was another class called "Wind Ensemble" but i didnt sign up for that because it said "teacher recommendation required" and being new, of course i didnt have anything like that, so i didnt sign up.
but i've been playing clarinet for four yrs, and the others around me has just started.
our first christmas concert is today, and we're literally playing Hot Cross Buns and the major scales. It's just really embarassing and humiliating, because there are going to be friends and family watching..... and plus, the Wind Ensemble people (8th graders, my friends) are going to play in the concert too, and they are going to laugh at us.

how to swallow up my pride and play proudly?

the question was: this girl's mother died, so she held a funeral for her mother. at the funeral, the girl meets this guy and they both fall in love. after the funeral, they both go to a cafe and talk all day. when she left and got home, she realized that she forgot to ask him for his contact info. 3 months later, the girl killed her sister. why?

the most common answer is : because her sister is dating the guy she saw at the funeral, therefore she is jealous and kills her sister.

but the right answer is: the girl killed her sister because she wanted another funeral in order to see the guy again.

if you answered it right, you might have a mind of a psycopath.

I have a friend that has the worst hoarding problem I've ever seen in my life. I thought this woman on the Oprah show once was bad but my friend has it worse. She never let me inside until tonight.

It's bad. I don't understand how a person can get THAT BAD. Is there something I can do to help her? I told her that I would come by this weekend to help her. It's going to take days. I just don't understand how she can't "throw things out." She has 40 pizza boxes on the kitchen table. Every room, you can't see the floor. She has empty pop cans everywhere. This an apartment that could be beautiful if she just cleaned up. This is beyond my comprehension. I really want to help her. I need a HUGE dumpster. She agreed to let me help. I've known her for years & she never let me inside. I think she confided in me because she's overwhelmed and doesn't know where to start. Truth is, I don't either... It's bad, give me advice PLEASE....

I want to be a psychologist in the field of trauma victims, particularly rape, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, loss of a loved one, etc. I am a male and a junior in high school with excelent grades. I love helping people because when I help someone at an emotional level, it makes my own sense of self-worth (very low, actually) go up. I feel more important...somehow. Is this a good idea, or a particularly bad one, given the fact that people say I am easy to talk to and they trust me without question without knowing why?

We've all seen it, and experienced it.... a woman goes to her office with a baby, and all the other women start flipping out and making these really high pitch noises (awww... he's so cute!), they start crowding around and basically act like a coop full of excited hens. I'm not trying to be sexist, but from a male point of view this is just insanity. I know having children is something that most women want to do at some point in their lives, and I realize that it probably has something to do with their maternal instincts, genetics, hormones, etc. I just wanted to ask the question: What is all the fuss about? They're just tiny humans that eat, poop, sleep, cry, and gurgle....

The passengers on board the Titanic were placed on the ship according to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class. You see many things wrong with this "class system" and write a letter to the editor of a major newspaper complaining about this. What would you say about the "injustices" of this class system.

Please try to make your answer at least 10 sentences long. If you don't want your results to be factored into a current study, then do not leave a comment. Please do not leave your name, if avoidable.

Seriously, they freak me out. My ex-boyfriend's mom owns a farm, and one day he took me out into the cow pasture (in some strange 4WD golf cart) so that I could get a tour of the area. I thought I was going to start to cry. I was that scared. Cows are dumb, but there's something sinister about those vacant eyes. Why was I such a pansy? They were only cows.

I had a dream that I ate a man alive. It was vivid and real. I peeled off strips of his skin like about the size of a strip of bacon each. Then his arms and legs started to come off. This guy was screaming blue murder the whole time. There was massive blood loss but the guy didn't die or pass out as you would expect. I kept eating his skin until there was nothing left but the skin on his face and head. Then a white worm about the size of hotdog shot out of his forehead as if it were lunging at me, but it missed. Then the dream shifted to a room filled with dead birds. They were all in clear, ziplocked baggies and tacked to the walls. The walls were covered with these dead, bagged birds of all varieties. There was more but that is all I can remember clearly. I remember some friends of mine from high school would joke with me that they thought I would become a serial killer as an adult. I'm worried. I don't have homocidal thoughts but I wonder if I could be mentally ill
