I had a dream that I ate a man alive. It was vivid and real. I peeled off strips of his skin like about the size of a strip of bacon each. Then his arms and legs started to come off. This guy was screaming blue murder the whole time. There was massive blood loss but the guy didn't die or pass out as you would expect. I kept eating his skin until there was nothing left but the skin on his face and head. Then a white worm about the size of hotdog shot out of his forehead as if it were lunging at me, but it missed. Then the dream shifted to a room filled with dead birds. They were all in clear, ziplocked baggies and tacked to the walls. The walls were covered with these dead, bagged birds of all varieties. There was more but that is all I can remember clearly. I remember some friends of mine from high school would joke with me that they thought I would become a serial killer as an adult. I'm worried. I don't have homocidal thoughts but I wonder if I could be mentally ill

Bizarre dreams are not generally a sign of mental illness....so unless you are having other symptoms while you're awake you shouldn't have anything to worry about. This was certainly an interesting dream. There are probably multiple ways to interpret this dream...but here's my take. Eating is generally about taking care of yourself - nourishing yourself. Are you feeling like in order to take care of yourself you have to hurt or take something away from someone else? Death is about change, but your guy didn't die.... perhaps you want to make a change or are on the verge of accepting a major change in your life but feel blocked from doing that. The color white is usually symbolic of peace or innocence. Worms can be about feeling like bait - like someone is taking advantage of you? So a white worm that lunges at you and misses might mean that there is some situation in your life where you feel taken advantage of - perhaps by someone you trusted or felt really comfortable with. Birds are usually about freedom - a positive outlook on life. So the dead birds would be the opposite of that. Overall I think the dream is particularly symbolic and it seems all the symbols point to one particular situation in your life. The fact that it was so vivid is just your brain's way of telling you to pay attention to this situation.

Gee, why would your friends say that??
I dunno, I'm thinking maybe you watched some stupid movie like Saw or something like that and it's got your mind rolling. Or maybe you ate something late at night that just didn't agree with you.
I've had bizarre and horrifying dreams too. I once dreamt about cutting a baby in half because for some reason I had to. There was no blood, and I got the sense that the child forgave me for it which made it all the worse when I realized what I had done and tried to put it back together again. But it's lower half was turning purple and dying. I've had lots of symbolic dreams involving things like being bitten by snakes, climbing mountains and "rediscovering" a crumbling castle that I used to live in.
There's not much I can say about your dream because I don't know your frame of mind during the dream or upon waking. How did YOU feel about the dream? Probably the best place to start.

desires are each so often given with the help of the Lord to coach the place you opt for progression in life. the translation of such desires is genuine, yet provided that the interpreter has coaching from the Lord. different dream interpreters that have loads of adventure can come close, yet whilst there is direct coaching from the Lord related to those desires that are consistant with a dream it relatively is given with the help of him, then the translation will hit a comfortable spot on the guy's soul. the translation would be proper. Many won't believe me, and that i in no way answer questions with connection with desires that are in basic terms the techniques replaying the day. I additionally don't think that any interpretation I supply is mine, yet belongs to Christ. There are circumstances interior the Bible of two dream interpreters, Joseph and Daniel. i'm no longer able to declare that each and one and all desires have meaning. some are, as you assert, random techniques occuring as you sleep. must you have one with deeper meaning, don't be afraid to voice it. you would know the genuine interpretation once you spot it.

Well horror movies can also contribute the thought of eating humans. However..
Eating a man alive = helpless conscience
dead birds = give up, freedom taken away
I am not going through each detail of your dream, but it is gruesome and although they may represent something. Overall, you are seeking for control. Yes, it could be a little mentally ill. However, I think you are seeking for control. In reality, you are losing respect, losing control. By projecting eating a man alive could release your anger, your helpless conscience and you probably feel like freedom are taken away in many aspects in life and that's why you vent this kind of dream out.

i think that you are making too much of this there are simple explanations for each piece of your dream but i don't know what kind of job you have what kind of life you live what kind of music you listen to or what movie that you watched that day or were thinking about when you went to be and anyone that claims to be able to interpret your dream without knowing those things about you would be lying and guessing and you are not mentally ill just because you have morbid dreams if your were to try to reenact them in real life then that would make you a sick person but each thing in this dream like i said before can be broken down and analyzed but not with out knowing other details

That's pretty weird.... and sick. But if you really think it's nothing, then it's probably nothing. But you should still ask a professional about it.
