Catholics slap the "Catholic" label on themselves for the sake of conformity first, and then later realize that it is also a powerful weapon of manipulation. What is your view?

Yes, its true I'm offended by nothing. I've had people even ask me because they have noticed it as well. Is there something wrong with me? Mentally? I'm a pretty secular individual. I know I'm anti-social (not by choice) and going to my mid 20s with never having a relation with a women. People say I'm pretty much a loner. Does all this play a part in why NOTHING offendes me? PLEASE SERIOUS RESPONSES ONLY!!! I BEG OF YOU!!!!

They don't rely on logic or reason with their arguments. They know that they are in a win-win situation because they have an unassailable authority on their side. They can call someone immoral for whatever they choose and it leaves the other person powerless to refute their claim. No one can go and ask god if it's alright to do something or not. This is why people get into Catholicism and morality: they know that it is a very powerful weapon of manipulation. It is the ultimate weapon of manipulation because it is such a sacred cow that it cannot be disputed without the disputer coming off looking like a wicked, no good person, while the self righteous Catholic accuser comes off looking like a saint and is therefore empowered. The best thing I can think of to do to a self righteous condemner is to laugh at them. Getting angry or belligerent just envictims them and empowers them. Can anyone else think of a way to defeat a Catholic moral manipulator?

I need to know some signs of abuse, particularly SEXUAL ABUSE.
I think my friend is being abused. She's really anti-social. She really HATES perverted jokes, and she would not sit next to a kid a lunch, beause he wrote a letter to his girlfriend talking about sex, and now she thinks he is a RAPIST! (by the way he's not).

Another disturbing detail is that she wrote the words, "Kill All Humans" over and over again on a sheet of paper. I asked her about that, and she laughed and said she had more at home
Speaking of her homelife, I know that her sister and older brother do drugs. Her dad does not live with them and she thinks her mom is a whore because she has another daughter with someone else

So I need some signs of sexual abuse, or any type of abuse. and If you think she may have a disorder, please tell me! I dont want to assume that she's being abused and realize that i'm wrong

By the way I can't ask her or start a conversation about it. She wont talk to me if I asked.

the popular issue for too long now is revolving around the gay wonder story. that is, is he or she born that way or not. well I sure as hell would like to know. can it really a biological error that forms the mind of a person who prefers to be with the same sex or is it that alot of you out there are afraid to just tell the damn truth that it is simply your choice to rub pussycats and pull up on dumbbells

Does a fly have a brain and memory?

How else can a fly be buzzing all around, then EVERY time I pick up a fly swatter, it seems to KNOW what it is and takes off!

Is it possible for a little fly to knowingly play mind games with us? My sensible mind says no way, but after several flies taking off each time I pick it up, my mind is no longer sensible. Especially when they return a moment later, and land right on the fly swatter I just put down, or on the end of my nose!

Is this a trend? Is it kind of like autism, being really strong in some areas makes you unbalanced and not adaptable to society and life? Or is there no connection, and it is just coincidence in these cases?

For instance. I am a disabled person. If an able bodied person wishes to call me names refering to my illness I don't find it offensive. I feel sad for them because they seem to have alot of contemptible feelings but I don't feel the need to throw my hands about (that's if I had 2 hands) rave and scream and go on about being PC. Able-bodied people seem more offended for me than I am. Anyone got a clue why?

I enjoy composing sarcastic answers to a lot of the really stupid questions that I see here. However, I'm a bit worried that more and more of these sarcastic answers seem to involve garden gnomes. Should I be concerned about this, or move to a high-rise condominium instead?

A few days ago, I "went off" on a drive thru fast food worker for not giving me a napkin or ketchup for my fries. I get so mad, I start to scream, and my hands start to shake. Sometimes, I do the same on the road when someone idiot driver cuts me off. Also, I started to yell at the receptionist at the eye doctor's becasue she said I couldn't have my appointment becasue I was 15 minutes late.I never physically hurt anyone and don't plan to...I just want to have the last word. Am I yelling at people that I know can't yell back?

How do you think he would react to alot of the changes that have went on since his time.

For example, he came up with the theory that went something like "Men grow up hating their father and are in love with their mother, so they try to be like their father."

Plus, he came up with all the stages, for example oral, anal, ect. ect.

Well, how do you think he would explain homosexuals, and ect.

AND PLEASE SPARE THE IGNORANCE...
this is not a debate about whether homosexuality is wrong, it is about how do you think Freud would explain it?

Popular debate in psychology and sociology classes I have taken.

I personally believe it is a combination of the two, that neither play more of a role than the other over all. But ofcourse there are people who one is more dominant than the other with.

for ex. Nature- birth defects
Nurture- people who are locked in a room their whole life, abused,
ect.

What do you think?

i've just gone through changes in my life and realized lots of things, for a while I felt like a zombie pretty much just very disoriented and not myself.. lately though I'm starting to come to though except I'm sleeping sssssooo much and having intense dreams! I mean intense because I wake up and am confused, and I have sooo many of them... They're usually harmless and about random people and things in my life. I have them even inbetween hitting snooze! my doctor said this is good.. my brain is trying to process everything. I've never experienced this before. is that true?? I hope it ends soon I can't keep skipping class to sleep :)
