I worked with youth from abused families. One girl in particular was sexually abused by both her mother and her father, neither were gay. I dont think there are any statistics on what you are talking about. Sexual preditors are sick in the mind and has nothing to do with their sexual orientation. A sexual preditor has been known to abuse young girls and boys alike, yet still have a hetrosexual relationship with their spouse. They just like children in a sexual way. Its a sickness, and some studies, while a lot would disagree,men/women who prey on children will never be rehabilitated. Their minds are just so warped for whatever reason, either they themselves were abused as children or their brain is just not getting the correct signals. It is a mind disorder, and in my experience has nothing to do with their sexual preferences.

It probably reflects the population of gays which means a small percentage. Lots of pedophiles just prey on children in general because they are weak- which means whatever they can get they use for their advantage

I really don't think that people with sexual disorders should be labeled as gay, straight or bisexual.
They have disorders which make them behave differently than they would if their brains were similar to a normal persons'.
Some who say they're "gay" are probably "straight" and vice versa, but no one, not even they, can always tell under the circumstances.

From my studies, I would guess it to be quite low, like 25%, but that is dependent on what the offender calls him/her self. Often times, molestation is committed by men on boys, but they do not claim themselves to be gay.
I don't know where you'd find an actual, factual percentage, but good luck.

But then it's hard to get the truth on the internet. Gay bashing web sites say it's much higher, pro-gay websites say it's much less. But 30% is around the middle.
Still, it's pretty damned high considering the percentage of the overall population that is gay is much less than 30%.
