I just think that when you mention that you're feeling low that there is a silence in the room or like its a hush hush situation as if your not allowed to talk about issues of the mind incase you get labelled its saddens me sometimes!

Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Quotient and Spiritual Quotient, how would we describe these in simple terms? Is ther any website here in internet where we can do these tests, know the results and compare them particularly of the latter ones (i mean, other than some of those paid tests and sites)

According to a mickey mouse dream interpretation website...if they do it signifies

"To see your wife in your dream, signifies discord and unresolved issues"

To see your husband in your dream, signifies your relationship with your husband and the unconscious feelings you have towards him.

"To dream that you have a husband (but you do not in your waking life), symbolizes some sort of partnership and/or commitment. Often, it is also representative of the qualities of your father in which you projected onto this figure or the masculine side of your own personality"

Is this a crock or sh*t, or what?

If someone is having a go at you and being abusive then what is the best thing to say to them? (I know the old saying Just take no notice)
But what I need is a sentence to say to someone and politely tell them to 'go forth'
Any Pschological ways of getting around this?

Everytime I go into a chat room to have an intelligent conversation with someone it is usually full of people talking about sex and acting like teenagers who cannot control their hormones regardless of their age. Is sex over rated or are people so lonely these days that they use sex as a substitute for real communication.

I'd like to ask how you feel about people who show self-confidence. I mean is it a good thing to be self-confident or is it bad? Do you want to be around with self-confident people? Why or why not? What about you? Are you confident about yourselves? How do people react when they are with you? Thanks a lot for sharing.

Ok, so let's say the heroine's name is "Kathy." She was once a poor girl, but when her well-bred Aunt took her in, Kathy became a lady. However, she falls in love with the one man her religious and well-bred Aunt hates--a gypsy man. When the gypsy propose that they run away together, what is it that makes Kathy reject the offer, no matter how much she loved the guy??? What is it that pulls her away from a free life?? What is it that imprisons Kathy to her Aunt??

Be creative!!

Speaking on Australian TV Channel Nine's "A Current Affair" news program Wednesday, Greer described those who mourned Irwin's passing as "idiots" and said possibly millions of Australians were embarrassed by him.

I am kind of curious as to what people think.

Every since I was a child. My mother did it, my step father did it. Everyone in school has done it. All through life, through the military, in jobs, in public, through friends who have back-stabbed me. I can't figure out what I've done to deserve all of this. They say on the news that the terrorist breed hate in the middle east, but we do here in the good 'ol U.S of A. Why all the hate?

I hear there are lots of mental wards and such places in the States as well as in other countries. They say that madness/insanity is trying the same thing over and over that has never worked and hoping it will work. I've observed that people in mental facilities and such places (and even people who function in life but with psychiatric meds) are either in the same condition, worse, or in "an okay state". The professionals hate to flat out say, "We don't know what we're dealing with" or "We don't have the answers." (Besides, they need to keep their jobs.) So many big words are in use because no one wants to take a look at the spiritual side of things. So many wrong diagnoses. In our world, "If it can't be explained, we'll file it away and avoid it." It IS okay to not know. In my own research, things like nightmares and mental illnesses are often misdiagnosed and shoved aside only to have a person suffer in silence or to have the same issues manifest at later times in life.

I am try to understand what are some possible effects about outcasts from a pychological view. I personally went to a small new high school and was in a class with 8 people . unfortunately I was the outcast of the group. I didn't really like that particular school and have found it difficult to connect with others after this experience. I am looking for details so I can get a better definition os what being an outcast means.

I know that this sounds like an odd question, but I have really wondered about it due to my recent experiences. I have been around other intelligent people throughout much of my life, be it in grade school, college, and beyond.

Recently, I have started a career change and am temping while exploring my options. The people I work with at my temp job aren't complete idiots but at the same time they aren't the brightest people in the world.

For the first time in my life, its not automatically understood that I am smart. On one hand, I shouldn't really care, but it still bothers me. There is a certain amount of training involved for the job which I find ridiculously easy, but the supervisor still is always double checking my work and overexplaining things. I need a job while I apply to grad school, but this is driving me crazy.

So, does one need to be smart to understand "their own kind". Any advice on how to handle this situation would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
