I always try to achieve the best things in life. I got into a good course (which accepts only the top 2% of those who passed) in a good university , got a great position (i started with the lowest position then got promoted 6 times in 4 years) in a great company, was able to get the greatest girl as my GF, but I never seem to finish anything. I wasn't able to finish my course and was transferred to another university, i got promoted to a position which is not quite the position I was aiming for, and never had enough guts and resources to ask my GF to marry me. I'm starting to think that I'm a big loser. What should I do?!

I'm interested in other people's experiences with sleep paralysis. I find this really amazing but very scary. It happened to me only a few times but I thought I was not in my body. So freaky but really fascinating. So please tell me your stories about it.

If someone suffers from a personality disorder or psychosis, does alcohol exacerbate the symptoms? Or can alcohol be the cause of a psychological disorder in some people, for example if their brain chemistry has a weird reaction to alcohol? Please note, I am not talking about alcoholism.

This is a sad, but very true poem, you should read it

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

America the Beautiful,
Or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
Your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
Poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts,
When God has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,
Our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
And a need to always pray.

We've kept God in our temples,
How callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
And Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
That's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges
Who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
In a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
Before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
That our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
Before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
From Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
But stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
Will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
And mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven
And forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
And those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
If you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
Withdraw His hand from Thee.

~Judge Roy Moore

Pass this on and let's lift Judge Moore up in prayer.
He has stood firm and needs our support.

I find myself being unable to focus on details at work and home. Things like keeping a accurate checking account escape me...even if I'm not rushing. I make little errors at work (this is not an office job though, I work in the visual arts) and when I find my mistakes I am so angry at myself!! I dont' want to make mistakes especially at work, but with things that require attention to detail, I cannot focus enough. I write things down, color code them, etc. I still miss stuff. I am actually very smart/intelligent, but these things make me look idiotic. Some people are naturally good at this stuff. Has anyone found any tricks to train yourself to be this way?

Both tests are stated as being the best (one considering just the intellectual side the other just the emotional) but the battle is argued by many on which is truly the better method.
What is your opinion on the matter? And why?

Here is a video clip of a woman being tasered by the police.

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/content/news/video/taser_video3a.html

I think police tasers should be used only in deadly situations. Right now the police can use tasers on citizens for minor reasons. Putting 50,000 volts of electricity through a person over a minor reason is ridiculous. Tasers need to be banned from police agencies.
