Not recurring dreams, per se- that's the same exact dream again and again. I just mean the same subject. I keep dreaming about two things, and the one thing comes up so often, I dream about having DREAMT it! I'll say stuff like "Yeah, I used to dream this happened, a lot. But now that it is it's kinda cool."

I recently read an article about PET scans of Schizophrenic brains and how the human mind seems "to be working at it's most creative". "The brain is making its own, highly realistic world" Schizophreniacs experience it, and can't tell the difference between reality and this realistic world. Their thoughts command them instead of the opposite.

Is there any research or personal experiences that anyone is aware of that involves a "normal" human brain being able to experience what the mind of a schizophreniac experiences?

Meaning the "normal" brain/person has control over his/her "creative mind" or "virtual reality"? Where they can shut it off or they can turn it on, while knowing the difference between what is real and what is not.

I know this is complicated. I explained it as best I could.

Being an insider in the field, I'm coming to terms with the fact that the behavioral sciences don't understand the very problems they're attempting to resolve...They only think they understand.

I have a manager who seems real peeved all the time. He doesn't physically look pissed, but with everything he does he seems like a mad man. Almost like a serial killer, he looks like one too. Hes always stepping on my toes in every single thing i do. He never has anything nice to say about my work (when everyone else appericates) but he does this to EVERYONE. Also, he isn't my only manager....and he seems to keep tabs on my lates and absences. I had a convo with him today and he seem so angry that i go out and wake up a little late and come into work 2-3 minutes before i clock in.......and even more pissed that on my days off i sleep in till noonish. When i say pissed i dont mean he's yelling but he seems to get so aggravated through his speech. What is wrong with this man? I don't want to communicate with him, He weirds me out. But i have no choice. He's always WATCHING EVERYONE like a hawk, but he's not even a major manager here, he use to work out on the floor.......any ideas?

I always have this dream that I'm getting married and my future husband's face is blurred out as we are standing at the alter. Everytime the Pastor mentions his name, it's bleeped out. So I hear "Do you take (bleeeeep) as your lawfully wedded husband...." And I'm flippin' out because all my family & friends are there and they seem as if nothing is wrong. I turn to my grandmother and ask her "Who is this man?!!?!" And she replies, "Oh baby, hush now! You gettin married!"

Freaks me out everytime.

What about you?

My best friend killed himself 10 years ago. I still think about him and sometimes I get very sad.

From an evolutionary psychology standpoint, this doesn't seem to make sense. I can see the point of initial grief...it pulls people together (literally and in spirit) after the loss of kin and this may help to prevent future loss (or would have in the hunter/gatherer days of yore).

But some people never get over a loss...why??? Even if you believe in God you would think he would not punish people with that kind of pain.
